New 901 atomizer design always tastes burnt

Well I got another atty with the new design off of a friend and it works great, couple days break in and loads of vapor and a bit longer between top offs. It still doesn't wick very much, never able to add more then 2 drops, but it seems to use juice more efficiently?

This one doesn't have any loose strands of fiber in it, and doesn't ever taste burnt unless the top of the cart is dry, so that other one is definitely defective.

Ohh and the batteries seem to last longer too.

I'm having the same problem. It seems the bridge is lower and the mesh is not as absorbent, therefore, it is not maintaining contact with the poly and wicking is for crap. If anyone comes up with a solution, I'd be interested. I have tried making my poly plug larger to try and keep consistent contact, but no luck.

Same issue with my SD. Just got 901 to 510 adapter from mad vapes now using my 510 attys and its good as gold!

I just got a bunch of these in...any drippers here? I drip, and I find they leak bc the liquid sits on top of the metal washer (or at least some of it does). I just started using the first one of the batch, so maybe it hasn't been broken in yet.

I have a bunch of the new SLB 901's with the washer and I have no problems dripping.... I usually only drip 3 drops and have not had any leakage yet in over a month of use...
