The coils work good but one had a oil taste or something. Ive used 4 in total but one was just terrible tasting. Its been sitting in vodka for a few days. The others have had no problem. I heard of flooding problems but not a drop on any that Ive used. The bad one was the one that came with the aspire the others were all foil/ bubble wrapped. Still prefer rbt

In my opinion the cigalikes are just a gateway into vaping. They are cool at first, but it just doesn't do the trick. Not enough vapor production, short battery life, and they aren't very durable.

I would suggest an ego c twist. You can get a 3pack for 26.78 from fasttech. $26.78 eGo-VV /eGo-T LCD / eGo-C Twist 1100mAh Batteries Kit (3-Pack) 3-pack at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

You will need to buy an ego/510 charger from amazon for like 3 bucks. Any ego/510 tank will work, but I would suggest the aspire 1.8, or 2.1 ohm. The tanks are around 7 bucks if I'm not mistaken.

There are a million companies that make juice. Mt baker vapor and heather's heavenly vapes are two of my favorites.

EJB10, I'm not one to give you advice on too much here since I'm very new to this world, but in case it's helpful, I'll just say this, since you mention price and saving money: We bought an Ego starter kit and a couple of small bottles of liquid to try out, and I calculated that by today, our fifth day of vaping versus smoking, we've recouped that investment in the sense that we would have spent that much on cigarettes (we would have spent a little more, actually)... so we got a pretty nice high-quality but basic kit that works well for us now, and haven't spent any more money than if we hadn't changed a thing.

We'll continue to reasonably invest in upgrades, back-ups, etc., and obviously, we need to buy juice, but experience so far indicates it's going to be pretty easy to keep costs way down in relation to regular cigarette expense, and I figure as long as we aren't spending more than we would for analogs, we can get ourselves set up with very decent vaping gear as we go along in the beginning, and not sweat the price.

Your mileage may vary in terms of how much you normally spend on cigs, but we've been spending about $100 a week for two of us (a number I haven't wanted to face before! ugh.), and it seems to me it would be a lot of crazy spending for us to keep that up that level of expenditure with vaping. (Oh, I'd love to spend a bunch of money on all the shiny things -- if I had a bunch of money -- but seriously I don't need all that; I need a good way to quit the awful cigarettes, and I have found that already for a very, very decent price, but not the lowest price!)

Can someone explain the whole "click" thing to me? I've read a lot of experienced vapers prefer this option, but what purpose does it serve (in simple terms I can understand, please!)?

Ahh the clicky thing. I assume your talking auto (no button) as opposed to a manual (button one). The auto battery is a demand system as you draw it activates the battery. The manual one you push a button. I prefer the button one because you can start it a second or 2 before you vape it. It gives atty that little time to heat juice before you vape. The auto one starts as you draw so a little of your draw is warm up time. Either works fine. The down side on button one is if its in your purse or a pocket and gets pressed its active. Egos and above have a shut off mode but I don't think any of the cig likes do albeit I could be wrong. egos have a 5 click off 5 click on protection. I hope this was what you were asking about. If not DOH

If you can skip the cig-alike phase, please do. If you can't, you'll probably be moving on to something else within 2 months anyway as the cig-alikes are downright annoying. They don't have large batteries (300 mAh absolute maximum, and that's rare), they tend to give an irregular experience, and you always find yourself searching for an outlet to recharge the dumb things.

That having been said, a lot of people feel that the similarity of the experience to smoking is really important (I did). And for that 2 months or so, the cig-alikes do their job. Some do it well. I'm a personal fan of the Bloog and Volt as I used them to quit smoking (and then moved on to a larger system later on).

Take a look at the eGo 650 mAh models, they'll give a more consistent vape and last a lot longer. They're also not too large to start with and don't make you feel like you're sticking a baseball bat in your mouth. You'll still probably move on, but from that starting point you have a lot more options without discarding your old equipment!

This guy stole my story :)

Cigalikes are great to start, being more like a cig. It opens up your eyes and you feel the power to to quit.
But like he said, after awhile you will move up to something bigger and better

I moved to ego t 650 mah, and its been an easy journey since.

Get a cheap starter kit for $20 that's ego style, evenif u don't think you will like it, it will grow on you fast. And save money "learning".

I wish i hadn't used so much money on cigalikes at first.

Then again this is all my opinion.

Either way welcome to the vaping world. Good luck and stay strong willed. Remember if you "want" to quit, you will.

And dont forget to start getting back ups. Ask anyone about backups
