Ok first off, I bought one of the Smoking Everywhere Gold edition e-cigs in the mall. Now I have found this lovely forum and learned the error of my ways. But for the time being I want to use this one till I feel comfortable enough with it to go all e-Cig.
Now I see a lot of model names being thrown around like 901 and such but I'm curious what model/Make is mine? I know printed on the battery is 090326 and thats the only model number I have found.
Also Ive looked at Johnson Creek and Wicked Liquid for E-Liquid and Im thinking I will try the paper towel replacment method for the inner resivoir material but Im looking for Ideas. Is there a huge diff in nic levels from 24 to 36? I am/ used to be a pack a day smoker, is 24 enough or should I goto Wicked and get the 36%?
Maybe this will make you feel less suckered.
I called the SmokingEverywhere phone number to find out where to buy one close to me. They sent me to a mall that is 20 to 30 minutes drive from where I live and I paid $150. I then continued going back to that mall again and again for like 6 weeks buying cartridges at $10 per 5 carts. I probably sent another $200 on carts.
Then I find out the mall that is only 10 minutes WALK from where I live has the same stuff but cheaper. They have a variety of products from different manufacturers and the SE GOLD that I paid $150 for is only $120 from this guy. I even laughed with the guy running the kiosk how I got ripped off at that other mall.
I then spent like another month going back there buying liquid at $25 for 5 ml. and I was thinking he was a cool guy when I was able to haggle him down to $20 after the first two bottles.
THEN, after all that I find this forum. You can imagine how stupid i was feeling. I got 'suckered' twice. You know, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.
So I hope that makes you feel a little better. Whats that? It doesn't make you feel better? OK let me drop the final shameful chapter.
Despite the high price of the SE GOLD I find it to be a quality device and see no reason to get a different e-cig. Instead I have been 'experimenting' with the disposable e-cigars. I really like the look of them and figured why not give it a shot. I always wanted to smoke a big fat honkin' cigar but never did because my natural tendency to inhale. With an electronic one there is less 'negative impact' from inhaling so why not.
I thought I was smart. I thought I shopped around. I bought one from e-cigarette-usa for $30. Well AFTER I placed the order and got the cigar I stumbled across it on Janty's site for only $25. WHAT THE CRAP??? I did it again and overpaid.
But again, despite overpaying I found I had a quality device and inevitably decided to get more. Of course i got them through Janty this time for $25 each. I purchased 2 satisfied I got a good deal. After all, the guy at the mall sells them for $50 and I am getting 2 for $50.
So I have been up all night tearing up the forum and what do I come across? A thread about a place called ruyandirect that has astoundingly good prices. You know what i found there right? You know it was a better price right? $75 for 5 of them. Thats $15 each. ARE YOU FREAKIN' KIDDING ME!!!!!
Well anyway, I hope this story made you feel at least a little better about what you spent. Remember, money is just a liquid asset that is going to come and go. It really is not that important that you should feel bad about it. Take solice in knowing you have an outstanding quality device.
For what it is worth, I find that dripping two drops of liquid directly on the atomizer and using a hollowed out cartridge provides a MUCH better experience than using cartridges. You can hollow out a cartridge by sticking a paper clip in the hole of the mouthpiece and it will push out the entire white plastic plug.
happy vaping,
