I'm so sorry I wasn't here to help you. My computer is down and my netbook can't handle even answering a post. I'm at my daughter's house right now if you ever have any questions email me at lisa@wordupecig.com I can get to that and I check it often. You can charge until it is finished it won't blow up. I have the 520 and everything is exactly the same as the 510 except for the longer battery life. The carts you just fill with juice, I haven't used the CE2 so I can't be much help there. The 520 is a solid unit and I have one and it is in heavy rotation daily. Any time you need anything I'm available at my email. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Again I am sorry I've been AWOL but that will be fixed soon.

An idea how little I know, what is the CE2? is that the cartomizer I have that does not need the atty? From what I have read on here I am going to have to get the one that uses an atty to have any luck?

Well, for one thing, I'm amazed at a kit with only one battery. If it's a "sampler" thing, I suppose that makes sense, but it's nice to have a spare to use while the other is charging. If you decide you like using e-cigs, you'll want at least a couple more batteries.

Now, visit the 510 forum. The 520 is exactly the same as a 510, except it's just a bit longer. You'll find lots of useful stuff on the 510 forum, which is all applicable to the 520, because there's no difference, except in the size of battery, and I suppose the capacity of the juice reservoir, depending on what 510 stuff you're comparing to. The 520 atomizer (sometimes called 510 Mega) is a bit longer, to accomodate the longer 520 cartridge, but since you have cartomizers (combined cartridge and atomizer), that doesn't apply to you.

There's a lot of info on the forum about the CE2 cartomizer. I don't like it myself, because of needing to use the 5ml Filler Needle to fill it. But I have also dripped into mine, and it works. Not sure how many drops you can drip and have it still work, but not flood or leak, but I've done 4 at once.

The 8-hour charge thing is just holdover language from the days of NiCd and MiMh batteries. Ignore it. Charge until the light goes green. Yes, in fact, there is some hazard with some lithium ion batteries. The likelihood that you'll encounter problems with your 520 battery assembly and the USB charger is extremely remote.

As you've discovered, Jeffrey is a great guy. I highly recommend Wordup.

Yes it was a sample kit. from what I have seen on here I am going to have to try the 510 and learn it then maybe go back to this 520 etc.

Not sure how much help I was, but I did give it one heck of a shot-LOL. I have had so many members help me and I try to help others when I can and sometimes in the process I learn something new. oldfatguy will be the one soon to be helping others in their quest on how to get the 520 up and going and refilling and then he'll be paying it forward with his help of a new member.

major help to be sure.

Nah. 520 is the same as 510. Same threads, same connector. In fact, there's a ton of stuff that works with 510 parts, because of using the same connectors. But, the 520 battery is exactly the same as the 510 battery, except for being more amp-hours. The CE2 cartomizer isn't, technically, a 520 anyway, neither is it a 510. It just works on anything with a 510 battery connector. And, if you want to try them out, no reason you can't buy some 510 atties, and some carts, and use them with your 520 batt.

Other then the battery, there are typically 2 parts (not getting into tank systems, or bottom-feeders, or other stuff like that, just keeping to basics). There's an atomizer, and a cartridge. The atomizer has the coil that heats up to atomize the juice, plus some wicking/mesh material to feed juice to the coil. The cartridge has filler material that holds the juice. A cartomizer is just both of those items combined into a single housing.

The CE2 is a cartomizer. Since it has 510 threads, it will work fine on your 520 batt. As I said, I don't care for needing the needle to fill them with.

I managed to squirt liquid all over my desk last night using the needle. one way to learn, do it wrong first.? ha
