Yeah, but how much damage was already done because of ECF's shocking ignorance about the different types of tube mods? This information should have been in the original post instead of prematurely tarring the entire stacked-mod community with the UNSAFE label.
I should not have more expertise in judging mod safety then the people making the guidelines. I'm still pretty angry about this
...but kudos to them for realizing their error and correcting it. They usually get things right in the end, but it just seems to take longer then I would like.

I know what they mean by mechanical mods but what's the difference between "basic electrical mods" and "fully electronic mods?"

One has a set of batteries with a switch and a regulator. A fully electronic mod has a PCB that has many safty features built in. Like a small computer in a way.

Lets just say that the original POST from ECF did us NO favors , really this should be a NEW post in that section but that is admitting they made a mistake and most people and forums do NOT like to admit these types of things .
