Hey guys. Been vaping for a year, and using LR attys for a while now with my bartleby. Lately, I've noticed that most of my new attys are tasting very burnt and I'm not sure why. I always break in a new one by blowing out the stuff that's in it, wiping off the threads, screw it on, drip 2-3 drops and let that sit while I top off the cart. I put the cart on, and let it sit about 30 seconds, then start off with a few light hits. Usually, it tastes funny for about 5-10 hits, then begins getting good.

Lately though, like the one I started today, it's tasting VERY burnt and shows no signs of going away. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Oh, I should add that I've tried replacing my LPTB filler as well thinking that was the problem.

I had the same problem a couple of days ago. Bought a couple of new Bauway Atty's from MadVapes and the first one had this real bad burnt taste. I tried everything I could think of and a few suggestions from some fine folks here at ECF but nothing seemed to work. Finally after about 24 hours of using it best I could with that taste it came out of it and is vaping perfect right now. I know this is not a lot of help but maybe just keep using it and see if it improves.

Are you using the same juice? occasionally even a flavor I love I will somtimes get some that just tastes funky. Or maybe try to back the atty off just a bit that can sometimes increase the airflow and help keep the atty cooler.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, same juice, atomic cinnacide. I'm so addicted to that stuff. I'll try loosening the atty a little. Thanks for the suggestion!

Hey John, it's funny you say that because this is my first order from madvapes LOL. I usually order LRs from nhaler, but thought I'd try these out since they were $7 each and only $2.99 shipping. I feel a little better knowing that your flavor got better eventually. I'll keep going on this one and hopefully I'll see similar results. Thanks for the reply.

I have had issues myself with buying carto's and atties from some vendors that shall remain nameless for the sake that they may have receives a bad batch and unknowingly sold them. If your using the same juice as you stated and are getting funky results from a batch of atomizers you received from one vendor I would definitely try out a different set. I once received an entire batch of cartomizers that weren't machined or created properly and every single one of them was burning the sleeve wrapped around the carto's filament. And the vapor almost killed my lungs every time I tried to vape them.

That being said, I have heard several people say that the wicking material inside a atty (not to be confused with the material of a carto sleeve) cant possibly melt under the heat generated through the atty. I actually tore a old atty apart and turned it into a homemade adapter for my multimeter. before I yanked the filament I should have set the wick directly on it to see whether or not direct contact would make it burn but I didn't, I assume from what I've heard that its extremely heat resistant and prolly wouldn't have melted anyway.

Definitely try out a new set of atomizers and if your not having issues with the new ones I would contact the vendor and see if you can get your money back or maybe a replacement set for the possibly bad ones.

Please don't take my post above the wrong way. I was in no way saying anything bad about MadVapes. They have great products and wonderful customer service and I will continue to order from them as I have in the past. I was just saying that maybe the OP could have an Atty like the one I had that took almost a day to break in. Once broke in it seems to be working perfect.

oh absolutely. madvapes is not a bad vendor in any way. I have ordered stuff from them in the past and been totally happy. However things like atties are usually mass produced by another source and anything that is mass produced can create a "batch" of stock that is slightly bugged.. for lack of a better term. Everything made can have flaws whether produced on an assembly line or by hand. Sending a vendor to the chopping block for one bad experience is foolish. Everyone should realize this.

Oh no, I know what you meant. I've seen so many good posts about madvapes, I don't think it's their fault. Besides, I've gotten 1 day dead attys from at least 4 other vendors and I know it just happens here and there beyond their control. They don't manufacture the things :). No worries BigJohnJ. I do appreciate your responses.
