Thanks once again Rod. Excellent new features.
- Currently Recipe Flavour inc/dec is 0.5. Nice to have a setting in Recipe defaults for this. E.g., I would like 0.25
That's it! I missed that one. Many thanks. In Tools->Options->Ingredients Default - I just overwrote the .5 default with .25 and it worked.
Is this what you're looking for or am I misunderstanding what you are trying to change?
If you're starting brand new, do you all just guestimate your inventory to put in?
As an "option" this might be OK. I for one don't use the label function of the calculator so it wouldn't help me (I still need the "make recipe" function). Also; what happens if someone needs to reprint a label. Wouldn't that erroneously "make" another batch? Just thinking out loud... and you did ask.Great additions. Love the steep feature! I think we should also add in that the print label button will
Basically it will be the "Make Recipe" button but also give you a label.
- Adjust inventory and update the last made date.
- Activate the new Steep function.
Im curious to hear everyone thoughts on this?
I appreciate the feedback. It wouldn't replace the "make recipe" function it will just be another way to get there. As far as the reprint is concerned, there can be a popup window that comes up saying would you like to make another batch. If yes is selected then it will reduce inventory. If no is selected it can just print a secondary label. As an "option" this might be OK. I for one don't use the label function of the calculator so it wouldn't help me (I still need the "make recipe" function). Also; what happens if someone needs to reprint a label. I don't mean to nitpick but did you mean "would" or is that a typo and you meant "wouldn't" replace? It would replace the "make recipe" function it will just be another way to get there.

I thought so but I didn't want to put words in your mouth. It's a typo thanks. Will update now
Interesting. Maybe I am missing something but where is the "Last made" window? The box "Last made on" box on the main recipe form is auto filled when you "Make recipe". Is this what you mean? But why would you want a calendar pop up here?Guess I'll throw myin for new features request:
I would like a quick pop up calendar in the "last made" window. I'm bone lazy and forget to type in a date all the time!
Just a thought.
Default Nicotine Vendor - You can already setup recipe default values. Create a recipe such as "Default Values" and then go to "Tools->Options", Recipe defaults tab, and set the "Recipe to use as template for new recipes" to "Default values".Thanks once again Rod. Excellent new features.
I read some requests for new features. Here's mine:
WIshlist:
- Option to turn off “Below inventory threshold” window at startup and when a Recipe is made.
- Be able to search for ingredients in ingredients editor and current inventory. E.g, search for “cream”. Would be great if Regex support.
- Default Nicotine Vendor Ingredient setting for new recipe. Currently it always chooses “None” thus making Red state (Could be a Mac/Wine problem).
- Default “Paste text only” setting for notes. So Ctrl-V prints non-formatted plain text.
- Be able to save an image in each recipe. Perhaps replacing the current icon space. (Drag/drop auto resize would be great)
- Remember the size of windows such as Ingredient Inventory, Add to shopping List, etc.
- A Count label of the number of times a recipe is made. Should also adjust down/up with "Reduce or Increase inventory" window.
- Selectable sorted headers in shopping list. Like in Current Inventory.
- Options->Ingredients defaults: Default values per Flavour manufacturer/Vendor. E.g, Cost Capella 3.00 15Ml, Cost TPA 2.40 15Ml, FA 2.80 10 Ml, etc.
- Ingredients Editor: Filter by manufacturer
- Enable Main Recipe window scroll bars when “Add ingredients” window showing.
- Currently Recipe Flavour inc/dec is 0.5. Nice to have a setting in Recipe defaults for this. E.g., I would like 0.25
I have added to my "ToDo" list.I tried to test this by changing the date on my PC. It didnt work but it may be looking elsewhere for the date. Can this be tested by changing the date on a PC?
I would add checkboxes to the print label window that you could check or uncheck. As an "option" this might be OK. I for one don't use the label function of the calculator so it wouldn't help me (I still need the "make recipe" function). Also; what happens if someone needs to reprint a label. Wouldn't that erroneously "make" another batch? Just thinking out loud... and you did ask.![]()
As stated in my previous post, in the next version you will have the ability to define a hot key.@HotRod19579 Is there another way to add steep time to a recipe other then hitting the Make button? I want to update all my made recipes. For now the only way i see to do it is hit the make button again and add the inventory back in.
