Hey HotRod

Great calculator, this will be very useful. I did PayPal you something last night so say thanks, not a lot but all I had in my PayPal account at the time. :)

May I make a request ? (If it's already there please let me know).

I intend to mix by weight. I know it's a simple enough thing to do manually, but how about adding a column for a cumulative weight for adding each ingredient in order ? Like this :

Order....Weight.......Cumulative

PG........5.00gm.......5.00gm
VG........4.00gm.......9.00gm
FLA.......0.50gm.......9.50gm
NIC.......0.50gm......10.00gm

(I just made the numbers up for illustration)

Dave

I installed the update (thanks!) and its sorta working but the tool tip is off by about 25-30 ingredients. As in, I mouse over the first 25-30 ingredients and see nothing til I get to one of the Bananas - and the tool tip that shows is the one for an Almond. And as I scroll down through the bananas, notes for almonds and then the apples appear, etc...

I have a similar experience. The tool tip only appears on the bottom 20% or less not above that and as I scroll down the same thing. Even flavors that had a tool tips disappear and won't appear unless I scroll back.

The links in the recipe and flavor sections appear to work but I have to use it more to see if there are any issues. These are all great features.

I will add an option to turn it off.
I have tested the calculator on 5 different machines running Windows 7, 8 and 10 and I am not having an issue with the tooltip not being accurate or next to the ingredient. I also can't recreate the issue related to the url's in the notes field. Is anyone else having these issues?

Wow!!! Just.... Wow!!!!

I just started doing DIY a week ago and was using another calculator. I thought I'd give this a try and... Wow!!

I imported some of the sample recipes into my recipe file and went through all of the ingredients that it added and updated costs/manufacturer/vendor info then I generated a shopping list for the few recipes I added.... Wow!! This is quite a nice application, my hat's off to its creator :)

A quick question. I have TFA - Vanillian as an ingredient and see that my vendors site says it's 10% PG. I wanted to update my ingredient entry so would the balance (90%) be VG? I'm sure that would matter in the recipe...

I am glad you are happy with the calculator.
Ingredients can be entered as 10% pg with VG remaining at 0. The recipe will calculate and consider the pg level in the calculations.

    Ain't it?!?!? :D:D:D

So, is there any hint of an Update Button feature in the near future? For those of us not technically inclined, to be able to click on Update and have the program update to the latest version in it's currently installed directory would be a very welcomed feature.

I would like to have a "live update" available. The thing stopping me is not having a web site available. I need to have a URL available where files can be available and at the same time having the files secure from being tampered with.

I can help you with that. I have a few vaping related domains and webhosting. I would definitely host it for free for you.

Can you check your TFA Vanillin bottle about the 10%? My TFA Vanillin is a 10% solution diluted in PG. The bottle reads "Vanillin 10% (PG)", which means it is entered as 100% PG. The 10% is how much vanillin crystals were added to the PG to make the concentrated solution.

Ahhhh OK, I haven't gotten it yet. I just placed a big order for flavorings and supplies today. Just started DIY'ing last week with a "starter kit" and I'm happy with my results. Gonna go at it full bore now ;)

Congratulations on your new journey in the vaping world. It is a lot of fun, and you will be surprised at how quickly you will learn to make good juice for far less money than you can purchase ready-made. The biggest hurdle is getting started :)

One feature I have found that I need in a juice calculator is flavor level. Most all the recipes are about 3X too strong for my taste. If I could just assume the recipe is 100% flavor and input 30% or some percentage it would automagically adjust the flavoring ingredient levels down and increase the PG/VG to compensate for the lost volume but leave the nic level alone.

That's already there I believe. Look at the first button at the top left (Flavor%). With that you can lower or raise the overall flavor % across the board... ;) (It's pure genius!)
