A new version is available for download, 6.0.1.2.

There are two changes
1. I added shortcut keys for all of the buttons on the toolbar. For instance you can hit Ctrl-P and it will invoke the "Print", Ctrl-S will invoke save, etc... The readme file has the values of the shortcuts.

2. I added a new feature called "Auto increment" (I need to find a better name for it). Let me explain what it does by example.
Go into "Tools->Options" and go to the "Auto Increment" tab.
Select "Target nicotine" in the dropdown list that is displayed.
Enter 6 in the Value field and click Add.
Enter 12 in the value field and click Add.
Repeat for other values such as 18, 24, etc...
Click "Save defaults".
Now go to a recipe and click the up and down arrows on the "Target nicotine" value. It will cycle thru the values you provided but you can still manually type other values. If you click the up arrow and you are at the highest value it will add 1 to the value. If you click the down arrow and you are at the lowest value it will subtract 1. This option works for target nicotine, amount to make, PG/VG percentages and flavor percentages.

Try it out and provide some feedback. If you can think of ways to make this feature more intuitive please let me know.

Auto increment is a nice feature! I am using it already. I might call it Preferential Increment or Personal Increment.

For the shortcuts, I would consider underlining the letters such as "Save", "Rename", etc. A few more suggestions might be a field for a functional hyperlink where you may have found the recipe, a field for preferred vaping temperature for us TC vapers, and maybe a date field for when to make the next batch. We can use the Notes field for those but those would be a nice touch.

I just made V6.0.1.3 available for download. Unfortunately I introduced a bug in V6.0.1.2 which would effect first-time installers of the calculator. The calculator would throw an exception when it was launched.
I tried it, but this version still crashes for me about 50% of the time when adding ingredients to a recipe when drilling down to other levels.

I haven't been able to recreate your issue yet but I have been working with penguiness who is able to recreate it. It is difficult to fix a problem that I can't make happen.

Based on what penguiness has described so far I am guessing that if you go to Tools->Options and on the ingredient tab you uncheck the "display ingredients by category" that the error will not occur. This might be a workaround until I can figure out what is going on.

Thanks for that suggestion HotRod! That seems to work fine and will certainly easily hold me since it isn't crashing at all without using the category based option. I should have thought of that option but it didn't cross my mind.

That's great news. That narrows down the issue. I am still investigating.

Somewhere
Ingredients / Add or update ingredient / Notes
When adding a URL, the whole box becomes a URL under that URL, hard to really explain
But also, does not open in browser when clicked

Notes Section needs configured to only the Link being selected and when clicked, open in browser
or highlighted to copy and paste later.

Still the best damn calc available. Even for the simplest projects.
I will be donating again soon.

This is easily a high dollar software.
Thanks for making it Donation-ware and not nagging for such.

What would be better is a location next to Vendor for a clickable link of where you bought it.
Possibly a button that open a new windows with a list of clickable links that could be added/removed for several vendors.

Also add them as weighted links. Then when added to the shopping list, add your top link or 2 to shopping list as well. Or have it carry over all your links to the shopping list for that ingredient, button next to it that will open a list of links then you can check vendors for that ingredient, etc.

Not a top priority, but could be a nice feature add.

URL in the notes field - I see the problem with clicking the URL and it not launching the browser and I have made a change which will now launch the URL (in the next version). I don't see the whole box becoming a URL. I entered a URL with text following it and only the URL was formatted, not the following text. Can you send me an example (PM or email) so that I can see what you are referring to?

I need to dig a little deeper on associating a URL with the vendor. Let me investigate.

When you have a link only in there, it's like the URL takes up the whole notes section below it
You can type notes in blow the link and everything is fine, so not a huge issue.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I was thinking, put a button next to Vendor in the Ingredients Dialog , that when you click it, opens a new Dialog
You can manually enter in direct links to where you got them, or where you have seen they might have them available

https://shop.perfumersapprentice.com/p-7714-dx-bavarian-cream.aspx?keyword=dx+bavarian+cream
http://wizardlabs.us/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=2146&search=dx
etc
etc
etc
...

Carry that over to Shopping List, so when you add to the Shopping List, you can click the button
Open that list of links you manually entered, click the link and go direct to that site/location of the flavor you want to order.
But the links should be able to be clicked on from the dialog under Ingredients where you add them, as well.
Could save some steps and become more feature complete on this end of it.
Not a huge issue though. Just an idea.

Yep, that would be awesome! Also a recipe source link somewhere or in the notes area would be a perfect addition.

I don't even know if this is possible but... I'm gonna throw it out there :p

When I'm mixing and creating, let's say I want to add strawberry. So I click add ingredient and see that I have like 15 different strawberries but I can't tell which are the realistic ones, the jam-like ones, the candy-ish ones, etc..

Is there a way to have like a little info box/bubble appear as you mouse over each one, with say..the first couple lines of the notes section?

So as I mouse over TFA Strawberry in the ingredient list, it will say 'use with Ripe for best results' or 'add 0.2% TFA Raspberry to boost'.

That sounds interesting and useful. I am looking into it.

Version 6.0.1.5 is available for download. Changes include:

1. Added the ability to add URLs in the notes section of the ingredients and to launch the URL when it is clicked.

2. When adding ingredients of type "Other" you can now optionally specify the PG/VG and nicotine levels for the ingredient.

3, When using the dropdown list to select or add an ingredient on the main recipe window a tool tip will open and show notes associated with the ingredient. Either the first line of the notes (first line ending with a newline character) or the first 130 characters of the notes will be displayed.

I am not seeing either of the issues that you are describing. I add one link and the link is blue and is the size of ordinary text. If I add 2 links I can click on either link and launch the URL associated with that link. I have tested on both a Windows 8 and Windows 10 machine. Is there anything unique about your setup?

Ok, so I created a new install, I have done this in both install and portable
Create a new recipe, go into Ingredients, add a url to PG as a test
Save everything and close out, also deleted files from the data folder before doing this, so fresh copy of the app

go back in, and you can click the link and it will open, close the browser
go back to the ingredient, now the URL takes up the entire box
and you can only get it to open one time.
