I am new to everything DIY related. I need something to help me not kill my self.
I have a bunch of 24mg. Juices with various pg/vg ratios. I simply want to lower the nic. With vg. Will this calculator work for that?
Yes, the easiest way is to launch the calculator and:
Click "Tools -> Simple Calculators -> Adjust PG-VG percentage of a juice.
In the window that opens specify the current PG/VG values and the desired PG/VG values.
Specify how many ml's of the juice that you want to adjust.
You will see a value for "Amount of PG to add" or "Amount of VG to add.

I reread your post and realized I answered a different question.

The answer is still yes and the steps are launch the calculator:
Select the "Tools -> Simple Calculators -> Adjust nicotine level in juice
Enter the nicotine level (24) in the "Juice nicotine level"
Enter the amount of the juice you are adjusting in the "Volume of juice"
Since you are lowering your nicotine level enter 0 in the "base nicotine level"
Enter the desired nicotine level in "Desired nicotine level"
The result will be a value for "Amount of PG or VG to add".

Hey HotRod, is there any way to remove all of the imported recipes and ingredients that I downloaded through your program?

I have been slowing going through and trying to combine the ingredients, but it is a little daunting. Would like to clean my calculator back up but not sure if this is possible without going through and deleting everything individually.

Just thought I would check beforehand.

Thanks

EDIT: Or even an option to highlight several recipes/ingredients at once on the drop down menus to then delete?

When you installed the application you should have had two icons placed on your desktop. One for the calculator and the other called "File Maintenance". File Maintenance is the program that you want to use. If the icon is not on your desktop go to your "All programs" from the "Start" button and find "JuiceCalculator->File Maintenance".

Note: there is more info about the File Maintenance in the Help file but this should be enough to get you going:

1. Launch the "File Maintenance" program.
2. In the upper half of the window labeled "file 1", click the "Open" button and open the Juice file that you have been working with, the one with all of your recipes.
3. In the lower half of the window labeled "file 2", click the "New" button.
4. Now you can Drag/Drop recipes and ingredients from file 1 to file 2. See my additional notes below.
5. When you have all of the recipes that you want in your Juice file in file 2, click the "Save As" button and you will have a new juice file.
6. In the Calculator program, click the File->Open and open the file that you just created.

Notes about dragging/dropping:
- A left click Drag will Move the item from one file to the other file.
- A right click Drag will prompt you to see if you want to Move or Copy the item.
- When you Drag a recipe, all of the associated ingredients for that recipe will be copied.
- You can also Drag ingredients from one file to the other but if you try to move an ingredient that is associated with a recipe in the source file, the ingredient will not be moved, only copied.

No worries, I just jumped in to about a question. Definitely a great calculator, switched from ejuicemeup and haven't tried any others out. Really amazing at all the tweaks and add ons he has completed for this calculator.

Microsoft won't show the min, max and help buttons at the same time. If you click on "Tools" you will see an option to "show minimize/maximize buttons". Click that and it will show those buttons and turn off the help button.

I generally find help buttons of this type to be more of a pain than usable. Could you make the min/max display option a remembered setting on the Tools/Options screen.

Also, how about moving the Help menu item from the far right side of the screen to being the last item of the main menu bar?

Thanks for the suggestions. I will do both in the next version and will make it available this weekend.

Cool.

Really liking your app so far. It's very evident you've put a lot of work into it.

I've got some other suggestions, but I left the list at work. I'll write them up tomorrow.
