Yup, keep refilling with the same flavor until it starts tasting wonky or becomes a stiff pull, you'll know. You can change flavors using the same carto if the flavors are close or compliment each other.

I use up to 8 - 10 cartotanks, most in the 3 ml size, at a given time, each having a different flavor. It's really convenient to be able to switch to another flavor just by switching tanks. I use different colored drip tips and endcaps to tell the flavors apart, and keep them relatively organized in the tank case below.

Yep, if there's a really tight pull or it tastes like dirty socks (I never tasted dirty socks, but this is what I imagine it would taste like), I toss 'em and prime a new one. I love cartos.

Never thought I'd speak those words during my first month or so of vaping.

Baditude, you seem to be the premier guru on carto tanks. When did it appear on the vaping scene, and who came up with the original idea?

Baditude, where did you get that?

8-Piece Mini Tool Set with Case | Shop Hobby Lobby

I was browsing Hobby Lobby while my daughter was collecting supplies for a school project. I had been looking for some type of case to put my cartotanks in, even looking at what elastic bands were available at the store. I came across the above tool set and the lightbulb went on.

So yeah, that is my own little DIY cartotank case idea. :D

Can you make your carto tank holder picture bigger?
Not at the present time. That pic is what is on this older computer I'm on now. The Alienware had a photoediting program on it, but it got a virus and had to have the hard drive reformatted. I haven't been able to find the disc to reload the software to do what you want.

If you click on the link to the website, you can click on that pic to make it larger.

How fast do they eat juice?

That's a tough question to answer, Kari. It depends upon a lot of factors:

Most people consume 3-5 ml of juice a day on average. A standard length carto holds about 1 ml of juice, an XL carto holds about 1.5 ml's.

It also depends on the capacity of your tank. The smaller tanks generally hold 2.5 ml to 3.5 ml. So based on that, you likely will get a day on a tank full of juice.

How long a carto will last in the tank is dependent upon the consistancy of the juice. Darker and/or heavier vg ratio's will clog up the polyfil material much faster than a clear or heavier pg ratio juice. I use a lot of coffee flavors that are dark and heavy vg. I change the carto after 5-6 tank refills in my 2 ml size IBTanks. I can get much longer use with a carto using a clear juice, such as a fruit or menthol flavor.

Hope that was helpful. -- Bad
