Thanks so much! I'm posting via an iPhone app, so when I'm off mobile I will check links. Price isn't an issue not because I'm wealthy but because I don't want to smoke any longer. Already, in 3 weeks, I can finally smell, hear and breathe than I have in years. It may be TMI but I've also had a great reduction in swelling in my lymph nodes in my neck, etc. I know vaping works. I jut need to fun the best way to make it work for me. I don't wanna be on 36mg forever... Eventually I would like to be single digit.

I can relate mama. The only thing that has worked for me is to up my game and get a great battery and juice delivery system. When you are trying to quit the last thing you need is failing gear. Good luck! Let us know if you have questions once you have a minute to read those two blogs. :D

Bassnorma is also right. Baditude does explain things very well. I learned a lot myself by reading some of his blogs and also talking to him directly. Provaris are extremely nice APVs but they are rather expensive($150-200ish). If you do decide you want one, I suggest waiting for the release of the provari v3 ;)

Well, I just bought a second one, delivered this week; 2.5. If it is the difference between torturing yourself with a subpar rig and having a good vape, then I do disagree there. I would go 2.5. P3 won't be ready for internet sale for a while as I can tell. V2.5 is still an excellent mod, regardless.

The only reason I recommend V3 is because I got to play with it at a convention a week ago. Definitely will be one of my next mods. I am considering the 2.5 in the mean time though.

Oh trust me, I lust after a P3 big time. But do we have a release date? See, I am thinking mama needs a better solution now. And I ordered my extra v2.5 fully knowing that P3 was in the works.

For the record, I AM totally jealous that you got to touch one! :)

It might also be possible that when the P3 does hit the market that the 2.5's may drop a bit in price and be more affordable. I don't know, though. I've had mine for quite some time and even with all the new toys I have, I still grab my provari quite often...

I understand the here and now solution. I'm searching for a replacement for my SVD. :(
And don't be jealous, I didn't get to buy it. Although I would have loved to. Hopefully release dates will be posted soon so we can all enjoy the greatness.

At the risk of having rotten tomatoes thrown at me from the Provari fans, I will say that I agree you need a bigger battery to get the vape experience that you are looking for. The Provari is said to be a great and reliable mod for certain. However, I do believe that you could get something decent without spending that kind of money on a Provari. I have been vaping for over 4 years, was a heavy smoker like you were/ are still smoke free and I have never owned a Provari. Many things to choose from out there without breaking the bank :2c:

Good luck to you!

Eta- This is a good example of a great starter mod IMO Many people use and love them and they are only $40 http://101vape.com/variable-voltagewattage-devices/148-innokin-itaste-mvp-v20.html#/color-silver

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...51-mvp-owners-group-into-next-generation.html

It is true that the battery is non replaceable but I have had 2 for quite some time now and they are still going strong. This and a wall wart would be all that you need to get started. It is 510 and Ego threaded. It would give you the time to learn a few things and look around for what you may like for your next major purchase.

Again, this is just my :2c:

My first "real" purchase was a Provari. I was very happy with it. I've taken my vapor experience in new directions so I don't use it very much anymore but if I decide to go back to it years later, it will be waiting. The Provari is a top shelf product that works every time you hit the fire button as long as a charged battery is in it.

213.00 for mod, two imr batteries, charger and a quality clearo tank is not exorbitant, imo

Of course you can bling it up, but you definitely get your money's worth from that package. I can attest.

Mine are minis but if she starts full size she gets bigger batteries to start without having to buy extender caps.

Sorry to speak of you in the third person mama, lol....side discussion.

Wow! I have learned more in the past few posts than I have in an entire month! Thanks! This morning after some serious disappointment with the spinner battery life, I did some online research and the Innokin MVP was my next course of action. The name Provari never once entered my findings until this post. I love the idea of a Provari. Money wise it would make sense to do the MVP until the 3 is available.

Ronnbert, with all my purchases I try to patronize Brick and Mortar as long a I can afford it. That's why I ended up in one or vaping as well. After checking yelp and google reviews of shops in town, I get a strong feeling that these are "hurried" businesses set up to get their foot in the door on this emerging market. I won't say more, but the shop I frequent seems like the lesser of evils right now. I will probably purchase online this time simply because this shop doesn't carry either of to two products I'm considering now :(

I have an MVP myself. It's a great bang for the buck; loaded with features with a very long battery life. However, mine is collecting dust.

I have two Provari's which get the most attention from me. I prefer the tube form factor over the box shape of the MVP; they are just more comfortable to hold in the hand and much easier to slide into a pocket for transporting. They also are a great bang for the buck when you factor in they can end up servicing you for years and years because of the lifetime manufacturer support. Should the MVP fail, it becomes an expensive paperweight as Innokin doesn't repair broken MVP's.

Provari certainly has a loyal following of happy customers. The link I provided earlier in this thread has links to previous Provari threads with hundreds of Provari customer testomonials.

That certainly is an option mama and a good one. Whatever you decide, I hope someday you get the p3. It's one of those things where you have to experience it to fully appreciate it.

I just went straight for the provari because I had already spent a fortune in other gear that had no warranty that wasn't right for me. Plus, I buy American when I can. Provape really is a great company.

The Mvp is a good product. You will replace it several times while only having to replace your Provari's battery. Long term, the Provari is a better investment. I have never been able to wrap my head around buying anything that you throw away when the battery dies. I know lots of people who really like the Mvp but when it dies, you throw it away. If, and that is a big if, your Provari has a problem, you can get it repaired. Provari owners are rabid fans because it's a quality device. If money isn't a problem, skip right through the rest of the pack and buy a Provari.

Oh...and if you do end up getting the provari 2.5....gun metal gray is dead sexy. It's nice looking. I also agree with Bad on tube vs. Box. I have little hands, tubes are much nicer to hold. Especially since I vape like a fiend.
Nite, nite all...way past my sleep time!

I really like both the ProVari and the MVP 2... If you're contemplating holding off on a higher priced mod, and getting an MVP 2 during the wait, there are a couple of options out there coming in the near future that might be interesting...

I have a couple of ProVari's... A red standard and a Satin Silver Mini, both V2.5's... And both very high quality. Wouldn't give them up...

And I love ProVape as a company. They make an excellent product from start to finish... The video Bad linked above kind of says it all. Although there is a lengthy factory tour 2 part video that goes even further into the minds and workings of the ProVape factory. Very impressive group of people...

That said, there are two companies that make regulated boards that I would put my trust in. ProVape, and Evolv.

Evolv has just teamed up with Innoken, the folks who make the MVP... So Evolv is making their next gen DNA boards with boost AND buck circuitry, as well as reverse battery protection, and selling them to Innoken so the next SVD from Innoken will have a new 20W board from Evolv as its guts...

That's a lot of jibberish for a new vaper, I'm sure... Here's my readers digest version.

Innoken makes sturdy well made mods... Evolv makes great electronics... Evolv board in an Innoken mod will be a fantastic device!

Who knows when the ProVari P3 will hit the streets... The SVD v2 is supposed to hit the streets sometime in September...

I'll be the first to say, it probably will not compare to the P3 for build quality... But the performance should be top notch! I'm looking forward to some reviews of the SVD 2 just to see how it performs. There have always been competitors to the ProVari, but nobody that could pump out comparable quality and vape experience in the numbers that ProVape could put out. I suspect the SVD 2 will be a ProVari quality vape experience at a much more attractive price point.

Worth checking out!

I know, it probably doesn't help with the confusion! LoL... I'm just really excited about this particular device, cause it should offer a very good alternative to the P3 for those folks that have an issue with the $200+ price point of the ProVape products. In fact, the pairing of Innoken and Evolv is exciting in itself... If Evolv starts pumping out the brains for a majority of the high end Innoken products, that just screams success IMO...
