Hi again Linsay, Glad your getting in to DIY as well. It is a lot of fun and can save a ton of money. To save a little more money, in the future, check out Wizard Labs for your bases and Nic :) Their Flavor Lab also gets a lot of good reviews here as well. They sell 8ml glass bottles of flavor for like $1.59 so you can try many flavors for a small price. I have used them for base and nic before but I just placed an order this week for a bunch of flavors to check out.
Let us know what you think of their flavors. I use Capellas and get my Nic from NudeNicotine and the PG and VG from Essentials Depot. Good Pricing.

Oh I had never thought about that, I have to be buy them for my girls all the time( the kind to give meds with) So I had planned to get a 1 ml syringe for those fractions of a ml, and a 5 and 10ml does that sound right? Also is the needle necessary or can I just suck it up like I do my daughter medicine? Thanks.

I'd suggest getting 1, 3, 5, and 10 ml syringes. Myself I use the 1 ml syringes mostly for flavors with a 18 gauge blunt tip needle, and I use a separate syringe for each flavor. So I have more 1 ml syringes than any other in my kit. The 3, 5, and10 ml syringes are for my PG, VG, and my Nic base and I use a 14 gauge blunt tip needle on those.

To help protect the markings on all of my syringes I just put a piece of clear shipping tape over them. You'll definitely want to use a needle as it makes it much easier getting those last few drops of Liquid out of a bottle. Also you may want to get luer loc syringes and needles as they won't pop off when dispensing thick liquids like VG.

While 100mg/ml nicotine solution IS strong and deserves respect when handling, measuring, etc., I find it easy to work with because the calculations are simple.

I make 6mg juice for myself. That is .6mls per 10mls of juice. My husband likes 24mg juice. That's 2.4mls per 10mls of juice. It's very easy for me to work with when I stick to 5mls, 10mls, 15mls.........in increments of 5. I could definitely see myself making a mistake if, say, I had 36mg/ml nic.

I never was good at math. "Keep it simple" works for me

If your mixing single flavors in batches to see which works best, wouldn't something like this work?
90 Tube - 13x100mm Clear Plastic Test Tube Set with Caps and Rack - Karter Scientific 207D3: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

Great advice here and maybe start with 5% if the flavors are non-tobacco and 3% if they are tobaccos. You can also make several small 5ml samples at the same time with each flavor in different percentages and see which taste best for you. Give them a day or 2 to mature before making your final dicission. What is important is that you get fimilure with each individual flavor before combining severl flavors.

Read my blogs before getting started

E-Cigarette Forum - dannyv45 - Blogs

then read hoosier's blogs.

then read the stickies at the top of the page.

this will explain a lot of the how's and why's.
