Please explain the pro's and con's to a refillable kit and a non refillable kit. I have a non refillable kit and it's quite convienient for me. I don't have to refill anything all I do is take a couple cartridges with me if I'm going out (just to be safe normally don't even go through one). There is a lot of talk about a refillable kits on here seems like it may be a hassle to continually refill, especially the ones that need a syringe to refill and sounds like it can be very messy. Please elaborate more would appreciate it. Thanks

How much are you guys spending a month on refills and cartomizer (that are refillable) atomizers and all that you need? I'm around $40 a month if not less. It seems a fair price considering I was spending $170 or more a month on real cigarettes. My unit also has a life time warranty so if I accidentally wash it or if my dog gets ahold of it, it is replaced no questions asked. Warranty is why I bought the unit. I have had those things happen and more. They were my own fault fortunately enough for me. Other than that the batteries last me virtually all day and I puff on it a lot. Plus the kit was only $60 and I've seen similar one for well over $100 up to $250 with no warranty. I also like the flavor and have yet to find one that taste this good. I've tried others but they are very sweet or are just a low quantity taste. Any recommendations on flavor the flavor that I used is strict to the company I buy it from and I'm very satisfied with the taste. Just wondered what all the huff about refillables was since I haven't found or tried one that taste like mine or even relatively close.

Welcome to ECF. Another vote for tanks/ Vivi Nova or cartos- Vivi Nova less than a dollar per week to run and takes 10 secs to fill. Cleaning I have spare heads and just rotate them. Cartos I can fill 5 in about 5 minutes and cap them- cost about 37- 75 cents per week depending on the juice I use BUT I bought mine on sale. The biggest bonus...I get to use all different types of flavors and am not restricted to whatever is in the pre filled.

Any idea how much liquid your pre-filled carts hold and what do they cost?

A carto can be bought for about 2 weeks 1.50 and will last about 5-10 fills (~1ml) (conservatively $.30/ml)
Juice would be $1/ml (that's the highest you can get.. usually you can find it for around .50/ml or less)

If you went with a nova mini, you'd be looking at ~10 for the nova, and 2.50 per head that will last about 5-10 fills of 2ML, (Conservatively $.25/ml)

Filling them is super easy plus you get to use any flavor you want.

But I will agree that pre-filled is more convienent.

Unfortunately I do not know how much liquid it holds. My unit breaks down to a $1.33 per pack. That is all that I k ow as far as price goes on this unit. What is this nova/nova mini every one keeps talking about? Is there a link I can look this information up at?

Easy to refill, and much cheaper! 1 carto = 1 ml for my volt. 1 refill bottle is 30ml, so 1 bottle is much cheaper than 30 cartos!

I get 30 carts for $40 I can refill them if I choose to do so. It says non refillable but that's to keep me from purchasing liquid to refill them. But to me I do like the on the go about non refillable carts and have heard some let's say messy stories about refillable units. Like spilling the liquid some are a hassle to clean. Keeping the unit away from children because it leaks. (not saying I let children play with my unit but have had them pick it up) I have no back wash on my unit so it won't be hazardous to children or animals. Does your unit ever have a back wash associated with it? What unit do you use? Is the volt a brand or a type of battery? How many pieces us it? Also I've heard but could be wrong that atomizers can run from 1 to $30 a pop or in a package not sure which. Is that info true?

how do you know the pack equivalency? The standard carto only holds about 4-5 cigarettes worth of juice...if you are going by the manufacture telling you that you are getting a pack out of a carto you are simply being lied to...they ship low end devices with higher resistance cartos so that juice does not atomize as quickly and gives a lower amount of vapor....generally speaking,a stock low end battery pushes 3.5 volts, so you really need 1.5 ohm low resistance cartos to get maximum performance...as for the nova...you need a 510 threaded device to use one...what type of battery are you using?

I am what I believe is a kr808. How can I tell the difference between what is what? Is there a spreadsheet I can look at? Also I know what they are equivalent to by kinda trial and error on them they last me almost 2 days and I was a pack a day smoker. This us also what I was told when purchasing I believe it is very close. Sone cartridges last longer than others. Might be due to atomizers burning out not sure. My unit is not equivalent to 4-5 cigarettes a cartridge I know that for sure. Maybe the refillable ones are I'm not sure or maybe my cartridge holds more than your tank or it doesn't burn as hot. Also going back to the quality of cartridge this is definitely not one from a gas station. I talked to the guy that holds the ingredients to the flavor and it's the only company with these exact ingredients for the flavor. It taste very close to a cigarette. I personally like it better than the Marlboro and camel flavors I have tasted. Also this produces a lot of vapor and don't need a primer pull or a warm up puff to get big vapor.

Also what does the nova for the performance of the cigarette that it is attached too?

ok let's try again...what brand of battery are you using? You can go on speculation as to what thread you "think"you have, we just don't know...and a spreadsheet for what? There are charts around for vape quality, sure, but your responses raise even more questions by being so dodgy.

Ok I'll try to be more specific sorry to confuse you. The Cartridge equivalence is what they told me 300-350 puffs off each cartridge. Which is equal to 30-40 cigarettes. Personally I believe this is accurate. It's called a nebulastyx for the brand. I had a friend tell me the battery was a kr808. A spreadsheet for what a 510, 810, 809, kr808. A spreadsheet to tell you what's the difference between the e cigs. Pro's and con's to different batteries or at least the number it holds (example: what's the difference between a 510 and a 810). Is that a better response or less confusing response. Sorry most of this is new to me. What's a good place to gain knowledge of e cigs and all brands of e cigs other than talking on a forum? How did you get so much knowledge of them?

I buy prefilled cartridges also. I'm using Mistik, and get the cartridges from Sams Club. I pay $40 for 20 cartos. So it's about 2 dollars per day or me. I wish there was a store I could go to to learn. I'm a newbie.

Where are you from and how do you like the mystik? They sell that at Walmart where I'm from. I like the convenience of the prefilled I'm here trying to learn more about what's out there.

I started on pre-filled, and I'll never go back! love the freedom and cost of doing/filling my own stuff!

Important thing is to do what works for you, and never pick up another analog. But it also doesn't hurt to try new things (mods, tanks, cartos, etc) while sticking to your budget.

Saving money is nice but I'm in this for my health, so as long I'm spending less than or equal to what I was spending on analogs, I'm happy (and currently since Feb my total cost is about 25% of my analog cost).

I'd say if you like what you have to stick with it. As long as it keeps you off the stinkies.

There is a lot to be said for convenience and you have been saving money.

Going to refillables/rebuildables is an option, but generally takes a while before you can find a good system that you like and that works reliably.

Myself, I like gadgets and the hobby side of vaping as well as having a lot of choices for juice so I wouldn't be satisfied with the system you are using, but to each their own.

I would say that there is potential to save money going the refillable route, but you can get carried away chasing new things too.

Good luck on whatever you decide.

You can refill your cartos that you have used. Just buy some juice from any vender, fill the ruber cap that comes on the end of your cato about 3/4 full, push your carto bottom end into the cap. this forces the juice into the carto, it is absorbed by the filler. blott it dry, and vape. Most pre filled cartos can be reused about 4 times. You may not get as many puffs from a refilled carto,(I don't know how the manufacturers get so much juice in 'em) but for the cost savings and ease of doing this it is well worth it. You can keep buying prefilled, save them, and refill them when you have the time. DON"T touch the juice. Use disposable laytex type gloves. The nic content is very powerfull. You can see vids of this on youtube under "refilling cartomizers". Good luck, and remember, prefilled cartos are nothing to be ashamed of. They work, they are cheeper than coffin nails, and no hassel.

Good advice, but I haven't found the juice to be at all a concern on my hands at least up to 24mg. Can't speak to higher levels, but 24mg has no effect on my hands.

going off the nebulastyx website...5 cartos for 20 bucks isn't so great...and the threading can be 808, but it can also be rn4081...either way, you would come out cheaper filling yourself, as far as a nova, you really need a bigger vv device if you want to avoid the thing blowing up in your face and so that you don't have to use an adapter
