Ok I'll try to be more specific sorry to confuse you. The Cartridge equivalence is what they told me 300-350 puffs off each cartridge. Which is equal to 30-40 cigarettes. Personally I believe this is accurate. It's called a nebulastyx for the brand. I had a friend tell me the battery was a kr808. A spreadsheet for what a 510, 810, 809, kr808. A spreadsheet to tell you what's the difference between the e cigs. Pro's and con's to different batteries or at least the number it holds (example: what's the difference between a 510 and a 810). Is that a better response or less confusing response. Sorry most of this is new to me. What's a good place to gain knowledge of e cigs and all brands of e cigs other than talking on a forum? How did you get so much knowledge of them?

Nebulastyx, there is some great information to find on this forum for newbies like me and you. All you have to do is browse the forum a bit. You might end up finding threads like these, that contain a lot of the information you're after:
- three-main-types-ecig-explanation;
- frequently-asked-questions-about-electronic-cigarettes.

Have fun reading and be aware: the danger of this forum lies in the reading; when you start, you want to read more, and then some more. So be prepared for some short nights and long reading :)

Welcome to the forum and congratulations for being smoke free. If you're happy with your setup that's all you need to stay smoke free.

I suggest you vape your way through the forum for answers. Believe me they're here. If you ever get to the point where you want more out of your vaping experience, you should buy it and test it for yourself. There is no one size fits all. Some of us like clouds of vapor, some like more flavor, some like smaller batteries, while others prefer larger batteries that you don't have to charge as often throughout the day.

The important thing is that you're not smoking cigarettes. Vape on!

going off the nebulastyx website...5 cartos for 20 bucks isn't so great...and the threading can be 808, but it can also be rn4081...either way, you would come out cheaper filling yourself, as far as a nova, you really need a bigger vv device if you want to avoid the thing blowing up in your face and so that you don't have to use an adapter

Yea it's 1 for 20 or 3 for 40 that's normally what I do that way it's more affordable I'm saving almost 7 dollars a box. I do understand now that refilling can be cheaper (as long as you aren't constantly buying gadgets). I am quite satisfied with mine at the moment I will continue to use it but may also buy another one just to see if I can find a similar taste that I like. Any recommendations for ones to try? The 808 and rn4081 is still foreign to me. Is that only the threading or type of battery? By looking at the website is there a adapter or anything I could add to the unit to make it more efficient? Or buy something new all together? I would like to keep cost as low as possible and don't want to go crazy buying a bunch of stuff that either don't work or I don't like.

As far as the nova I've only heard of one inccedent that it blew up in a guys face. What would cause my unit to do that if I tried a nova with it. Just curious really.

Welcome Nebulastyx to the ECF forum and congrats for your decision to join the vaping world! If your current set up works for you, that is great! And I have to agree with Renolizzie, I too began many years ago with the NJoy NPro and buying 5 cartos for $20 bucks each just didn't fit with me. I was going through cartos like crazy, and the fact that the power on the battery only lasted about a hour of vaping, I was constantly recharging batteries. Besides the fact that I was spending more on cartos since at that time a carton of ciggys (generic brand) were the same price for me as 5 cartos - I failed miserably and went back to analogs. It wasn't until just recently I discovered Smokeless Image, my start kit included two 78mm batteries which lasted about 3 hours each, and a pack of cartos, bottle of liquid. I found out quickly that dripping a few drops in the carto to refresh them each time I vaped made one carto last seemingly forever! And considering a bottle of liquid was about $14 and a 5 pack of cartos about $9, I was in heaven!!!!

I have since graduated from cartos and use clearomizers, but I have to say had it not been for the combination of cartos and batts and the quality of SI's products, I would still be on the stinkies today! Just my :2c:

Do you by chance know if there is a adapter or a clearomizer that would work with my battery? I believe is a kr808. That's what a buddy of mine that's very aggressive with his vaping habit told me.

The WWOV pages are an excellent read, I also highly recommend them.

I wanted to jump in with a personal example. Had an unexpected vehicle repair last month, took all of my "fun $$$" with it. Because of that I've been on an "extreme, LEAN vaping budget".

Ego kit (2 ego 650s + charger + 5 blank cartos) ~ $31.99
(2) Vision eGo clearomizers ~ $10.00
(1) 30ml bottle of RY4 (a good go-to flavor for me) ~ $13.00

I did already have the ego kit from earlier, but the price is accurate. In the last month I've only dropped $23.00 on "supplies". The clearos have definitely gone past their prime, but still usable.

You have a kit very similar to the V2 I started with back in 2010. I eventually grew out of that type of hardware, but as long as it continues to perform for you, by all means continue. Once you check out that site, I'm sure it will pique your curiosity as to what else is out there, just as it did for me.

I would also recommend checking out the vendor section here at ECF, many reputable companies that can offer you additional options to augment your current setup, once you determine exactly what type of battery you have (it looks like an 808D to me).

I completely skipped the "cigarette-like" looking e-cigs and went straight to a mod. I'm very new to this and I don't find that filling tanks/cartos is hard at all.

The buy-in to get started with something like a mod + batteries + tank/carto/etc + juice might be intimidating........but it will end up being cheaper in the long run than those non-refillable e-cigs. Once you have your setup, all you need to keep buying are cartos/attys and juice.

Actually filling them is not an issue. It's easy enough with most of the bottles that juices come in straight from the vendor. But if you want to make it even easier, you can drop a whopping $.50 on a needle-tipped empty bottle to make filling even easier.

one idea instead of "refilling" you simple add a drip tip to one of your carts and just add more fluid as it dries out no actual filling, stopping, or fiddling, In the beginning i did this and got weeks off the same cart before it was bad/clogged- then boiled them and got a few more. coming out to pennies a month on supplies.
If for nothing else refilling is better because of the vast array of flavors out there, nothing a prefilled cart could ever compare too- the ones i started on were good, but man the flavors I put in them were even better.

Beside the cost, Flavors on non refillable are mostly awful. Not sure whats in there. I almost went back to analog when I started vaping. A friend told me to try this (ECF) fourm and never look back. That was two years ago. This is a great place to learn about vaping.

The first ecig I ever tried was the menthol njoy pro, and it absolutely shredded my throat, so I was leery of trying any other type of PV. Much like you, a friend referred me here and that was that. I find I prefer juice with more VG, 50/50 seems to work for me. No idea what the mix was in the njoy.
