New Ego-T kit arrived today, just seems riddled with problems and peculiarities. Cold hit was weird compared to regular E-cigs. After about an hour the dreaded burnt taste has appeared and won't go away. I know there's tons of info out there on how to deal with that stuff, but right out of the box? How do they stay in business? Just seems like a not solid set up. Can you just put regular cartomizers on the battery? This set up looks like it has a good battery life, and that is about it. I tried some Kanger t3 bottom feeder clearomizers. Those definitely taste contaminated like chemicals. Any carto suggestions?

I have had my eGo-T kit for months with no issues (that I did not directly cause)... That sounds odd.

You're using the tanks? Are you filling them to the dot?

Did you make sure that the cap is snapped fully onto the tank and that the tank is firmly seated in the atty?

You can put anything with the right connection on that battery. I have used clearos, cartos, and drip attys on mine.

Sounds like there is some sort of issue with yours... Did you get one battery or two? Are they both like that?

Edit: I am assuming that you charged the batteries fully.

Those batteries are probably fine. But the atomizer-cartridge juice delivery device is antiquated and old-school compared to modern day devices in use today. Too bad you didn't come here first before purchasing that kit, most of us would have steered you away from it.

You can use any other delivery device on those batteries. They are of a 510 eGo battery thread. You could put any of the more common juice delivery devices on your batteries as shown in this link:

first I used the ego, then the egoT, then the egoC. I still use the batteries but I am currently testing out other atomizer, cartomizer, tank and clearomizers options. I have always found the atomizer heads in ego kits to be very inconsistent. But then again, I have a friend that has bought the same kit at the same time, from the same vendor and has had absolutely no problems whatsoever. There are tons of little tricks and tips out there but I am not a tinkerer so to speak. These things should just work. More often then not, they just don't when I use them. I wish I could be of better help but ultimately I had to look at other options, and to be honest, the other options are often better and cheaper than replacing your ego t amtomizers. I really didn't like the T atmomizers for 2 big reasons. 1. The atomizer and cone are one piece making them very difficult to tinker with. 2. they are expensive. When I used them they were around $12-13 a piece. I think a lot of sites sell them cheaper now but they are somewhere in the range of $7-8. Which for me, for one atomizer is just too steep. Now, if they worked like a champ and had longevity that was consistent I would be singing a different tune. Luckily you have a shop in town to get something to tide you over. The closest shop I have is 2 hours away. :( anway, I am an avid ego user and I am still trying to find what works for me, I have spent quite a bit of money (more than I should have.) If I had leaned on ECF sooner, I would saved myself a lot of $ and frustration. I am getting a lot closer though and am once again off analogs (closing in on my 4th week). I guess my post is really more for moral support... hope you get it figured out soon. I would love to hear what you decide to go with.

I'd wash out that Kanger and give it another try with something you really enjoy. Carto's are nice and I use them here and there but the price is to high. T3 will do about the same job, holds more liquid and can be serviced.

I had a bad experience with a Boge Carto tank. Turned out I had forgotten to clean it before first use. Ruined my e-liquid beyond salvaging. However after cleaning and replacing the Carto, it is one of my favorite vape devices while sitting at home.
