New Ego-T problems

Hey all, I just purchased the Ego-T and got it today from Pure Smoker. I've had many pen-styles, joye510, and a few mods so I would consider myself e-cig savvy. I quit smoking analogs for 10 months using e-cigs and like an idiot started again. I'm here to try again - and I know it will work this time

So I go to use it. First atty I use Tango Tea (which i was super excited to try). The taste is so burnt that i can't taste any flavor at all. So i spent some time making sure it was wicking, blew out the atty, retried, made sure there was a hole punctured in the tank, etc. Still burnt.

I put the first addy down for a second, fill up another tank with Silver Leaf Menthol, take one drag. AMAZING. Taste is excellent and exceeds my expectation. I've read up and am familiar with the burning taste, but the first addy with the Tango Tea, like i said, has NO flavor whatsoever.

Any suggestions?

Some flavors can't lose flavor with heat - the tea may be one of those. What I'd do is try it in a non-eGo t atty and see if there is any taste. It could be the flavor itself, but the nature of the t is that it does run hot and can burn some flavors.

I meant try another type of atomizer just to eliminate that it's not the tea flavor.... And no, that isn't usual for the T's although they can heat up and sometimes burn the ejuice depending on the flavor.

Hmm, If i let it just sit for a 10-15 minutes, the first drag i get about half of the flavor i should, but i get flavor none the less. Second drag tastes completely burnt. Wait another 15 minutes, same thing. This has to be a wicking problem?

quick side note - Dripping seems to nearly eliminate the problem. Tried different tank with no luck.

I am waiting for some silica rope to come in from an online order... Going to do the wick mod. In the mean time, I took the "fluff it up" approach and have had some nice response from the wick in the stock atty I got in my T system a week and a half ago. I'm not going to fiddle with the second atty until the mod stuff comes in the mail. Basically, I took the tank needle assembly out of one of my atty's by using a slightly modified small screwdriver. Once the wick assy was out, I fluffed both ends with a sewing needle and dry burned both the wick and the atty heater element to get rid of the garbage. Afterwards, I dripped on the element and wick, re-assembled very carefully and have enjoyed nice clouds and TH all day. I'm trying to decide if I even need to carry my kissbox with me as a backup now. The eGo T system is kicking my throat pretty solid and is doing it's job. Press on and enjoy my friend. You'll find your path.

MatrixXx, good luck on your journey. I just thought I'd mention that I had run into annoying problems with the ego-T also. When I found a new PV, the Go-go, I gave it a try and was amazed at how great it worked. The battery, 1300 mAh, will last me almost 3 days of steady vaping before a recharge. The cartomizer holds around 100 drops and the flavor is consistently great, much better than my eGo-Ts. Huge vaping clouds and great TH. I started a thread on the topic and many people have discussed your issues there. That was almost a year ago and I am still loving my Go-go! Hang in there, the PV helped me give up analogs! You can do it!!!!

The new eGo-c doesn't have the same problem with burning some flavors that the eGo-t does. Since you already have the eGo batts, you might try an eGo-c atty when they can be bought separately. If you already have the A tanks, they'll fit the eGo-c.

try to look on you tube there are some videos in there that can help you learn how to adjust the wick just slightly and this helps alot of the time but it could be that the juice of the tea is too thick to wick good on the ego t, I know from experience that if you like to take one inhale after the other that you really dont want your e liquid to be over a 70 pg 30 vg ratio, the wick in the ego t can not keep up if you do.
