Sense Field's TWPM (tank wick poke mod) changed my tank experience so much for the better that I ordered a second eGo tank full kit this afternoon ($60 shipped).
This is just as good as dripping IMO.
This is the first time in over a year that I am actually excited about one of these new liquid delivery systems.

i like the sound of it... could replace the cartomizers made by royal smokers hopeful it can work on regualr 510 atomizers or at least be modded

I just received the tank system..by the looks of it you can only use them with the T atomizer..as it has a post in the middle which punctures the Tank when put on

That sounds nice...Sense Field's TWPM ;)

I'm glad it worked for you...but again...to anyone trying this method...the previous posts are correct...you have to be very careful...if you push it in too much...you will ruin the atty.

If you shine a flashlight down a working atomizer...and then down a non working atomizer...you should see a slight difference in where the wicking material is sitting...it's ever so slight...but it makes all the difference in wicking.

Follow-up from my "lack of flavor and tight draw" posts...I finally got my 2 attys back to like-new performance. It took a few heavy-duty dry burns...hot water rinse, orange glow burn pulsing for quite a while, then repeat. I had put off trying this (because of an earlier post where it wasn't recommended) and instead relied on blowing out, rinsing and IPA soaking. After taking the chance and dry-burning, I realized that it works quite well, like on a standard atty, which I've done many, many times. Now I feel like a fool for not trying it sooner. Geez.

I suspect that, based on the posted pics, the ceramic cup reservoir appears to hold a much larger excess volume than the standard attys...which could mean faster, more severe coil gunking. And possibly more cleaning for me...I do use a few darker liquids with up to 20% flavoring.

These are V1s from TW, but wicking has never been a problem so I'll hold off on trying to push the wick down. Speaking of which, can someone post a pic of the V1 side-by-side with the V2 for a visual comparison? I'm debating ordering a newer one (or 2) to judge the difference for myself but wanted to see the difference. Thanks to everyone for their contributions...this has been great (although the thread is getting quite large!).

Second update...

After about 5 days of steady vaping my first atomizer… it’s performance started to fall off…Due to an admitted improper cleaning attempt…I believe it’s toast…My second(new) atomizer is failing to reproduce the exceptional results of my first one…To be blunt it’s pretty much un-vapable…I’ve got one more new one to try…but even if it meets the first ones performance.. I won’t be purchasing any more..

My gut feeling is the "all over the map" results being experienced with the tank system is a matter of quality control….As I said before…I’m done fiddling around with any of this stuff….It’s got to work right out of the box….or be cheap enough where I won’t care if it doesn’t….I’ll wait until something else comes along that can meet that requirement…

I’ll be returning to my tried and true genuine Joyetech 510 cartomizers…..At 5 for 8 bucks… having a cartomizer that can provide a solid week of consist performance is a bargain to me…At that price if one turns out to be a dud every now and then..no biggy…At 16 dollars a shot….you’ve got to do a lot better than maybe it works…maybe it don’t…..

Well, I am a newbie who started out with the Chinese garbage (M601 and the Blu) and then bought the 510 ego. It was way better than the first two. But I bought the ego-t just recently from cignot and I'm not having many problems at all. I will say that when I use PG juice it floods, when I use VG based juice and performs like a finely tuned Maserati. But even when it floods, it's not severe and I just blow it out after every empty tank. I have made no modifications to them yet, but I'm glad I found you guys/gals. I just cleaned my first atty and getting ready to dry burn it. How long do I need to dry burn?

Sense Field,

dude your a genius! :toast:

I've been vaping a tank I got from Cignot for a few days with no real complaints. Watched your video and decided to give it a go. I just barely taped the wicking and moved it at most a 16th of inch. Wow, much better, I'd even compare it to dripping on the Ego mega atty.

Thanks again!

Disclaimer: I've only been at this for a few weeks and only dripped for 8 days.

Hey Sense.. ya I like your vids.

Apparently there are two revisions of the T. It looks like most European Ovale and TW customers (the earliest adopters) got the first revision. Ovale USA and Cignot (the two vendors I've done business with regarding the T) have revision 2.

This is just conjecture based on watching the results.

I also have tried two cone-atomizers, one from TW and one from Cignot. The TW version failed on me after a few days, just stopped wicking properly and was constantly drying out. I got one from Cignot and it was quite the difference. The one from Cignot has been working much better. i've been using it pretty much every day, all day, for over a week. The performance has been very consistent. It's not the greatest vapor producer out there, but it's excellent for having around the office and I've had zero leaking problems and very little in the way of drying out. Usually just a few hard draws with the battery off gets the flow going again. I just hope they keep working on it. The concept is excellent. They'll get it right. And when a LR version comes out it might really be something. I just hope they are looking at all this feedback. I want it to work very badly. It's a very nice alternative if you're not into direct dripping or don't have the cash or aren't ready to jump to a bottom feeder.

Make sure your batt is charged. Rinse with hot water first, blow out the excess, then do a pulsing...4 seconds of burn followed by a second of rest. After doing this many times you'll see the orange glow of the coil through the needle and around the side slits. Then continue maybe 5 more cycles. If it was really gunked, you may want to let it cool, do another rinse to wash away the ash you created, then repeat. Worked like a charm for me and no worries about damaging the atty...unless someone's using HV with these, then I'd be weary. Hope this helps.

I just got my tank set in from cignot (SUPER quick service ladies!), and so far I'm LOVING it! I am pretty new to vaping and though I easily adapted to the ego and was able to quit analogs cold turkey, I felt like I had to top of carts every few puffs just to "feel" the hit! I was getting very discouraged!

Ive only been using this for 2 days but I have had no issues, no leaking or wicking issues.

I use 80pg to 20vg diy juice. Heres my quesion and Im hoping some experienced ecig ppl can help me out. I see that I should avoid dark or sweet juices that gunk up the coil. All my flavorings (PA) are clear except the coffee, obviously the pg, vg and nic are clear. Ive gotten a list of ingredients in the flavorings but stilll am unsure! I only use fruits, watermelon, ripe banana, coconut and such and cinnamon redhots, menthol drops, peppermint, vanilla bean ice cream PA tobacco (Alc) which is also clear.

Are any of those flavorings bad to use? I will use the coffee and any others that will clog with my 510 atty and carts and keep only clear juices in my tank setup. I also plan to do an alcohol bath once per week. I vape about 5ml a day.

If I can make a tank atty last a month keeping clean juice in it, then it'll be WELL worth the .53 cents a day! :)

Congrats on the quitting analogs. Sounds like you have a good plan going. I have had problems with coffee juice destroying some atomizers. I plan on doing the same as you at least for right now and keep the darker liquids out of my new Tank. I do use a PG 47% VG50% PGA 3% in my main juice and it seems to wick fine. PGA i use to melt the menthol crystals but it also helps thin the juice a bit. But like you i have only had my tank a couple days so we will see how it goes.

I love your neck warmer you have in your avatar. That is awesome. My neck warmer has a mind of his own I fed him this morning and he is no where to be found. Could use him too it is a bit chilly this morning.

Just ordered the Riva 510 with an ego-t atty and some blank carts! Thanks for the help everyone, can't wait till it gets here!! the 510 I have is good, but I'm really intrigued by this tank system. These things definitely are addicting though, I've only had the 510 for 4 days and I'm already upgrading, LOL. Spent a bunch of money up front but looking forward to the long term savings.

By the way, LF definitely has a good thing going with that 20% discount.

Where'd you get it?
