Personally I don't think the alignment is important at all. I just align the whistle tip so I have convenient access to the button.... done.
Wouldn't misalignment interfere with airflow?

Thanks for the tip. I just vapped a tank like this. I likeI removed the insert and the mouth piece from the tank and I have been vaping 2 days now with no problems. I found the flavor has improved and I'm getting much more vaper. I also noticed less of a plastic after taste, which was nasty. Oh and by removing these 2 pieces there is no more moisture in the tank. I have no leaks anywhere with the tank.

10 minutes ago I would have agreed with you as I noticed no difference in the draw between lined up and 90 degrees off. But I did JWV's mod of removing the inserts. With them removed I can tell a difference in the draw and it's not as tight when the channels are lined up.Personally I don't think the alignment is important at all. Yah, I considered removing the inserts altogether, but it seems to me that it gives a little support when I drop the dang thing on the floor. Instead of breaking, the outer insert pops out. It may also save me from getting juice in the mouth so easily if something goes wrong. Hate that nasty taste.
I do still get a little condensation, but nothing like before. It's barely noticeable.
I thought about the juice issue and figured I would get no more and probably less than dripping plus I'll notice leak or a flooded atty before I get a ton of juice into the mouth piece. I tried it with just one insert and it was still very tight compared to no inserts.
color me stupid, but I don't know what you are referring to as the second insert..I know about the insert that goes in the top (mouthpiece) but the only other thing I can see that is removable is the cap at the bottom...Yah, I considered removing the inserts altogether, but it seems to me that it gives a little support when I drop the dang thing on the floor. Hope it doesn't get stuck somewhereunder the mouthpiece insert there's another one with a little hole and no legs.
Okay...I am probably the only one in the world that this has happened to! As I was happily vaping away on my Ego-T, the weirdest thing occurred. The end-cap for the mouth piece decided to pop off just as I inhaled the vapor from my mouth to my lungs and shot to the back of my throat. I ended up SWALLOWING it because I was driving and couldn't really cough it up! Now I have a tank cartridge with a missing end-cap and it's lost somewhere in the pit of my stomach.Hope it doesn't get stuck somewhere
Watch out, you might have a Baby Ego T in 9 , 10 months...... j/kOkay...I am probably the only one in the world that this has happened to!
