I removed the insert and the mouth piece from the tank and I have been vaping 2 days now with no problems. I found the flavor has improved and I'm getting much more vaper. I also noticed less of a plastic after taste, which was nasty. Oh and by removing these 2 pieces there is no more moisture in the tank. I have no leaks anywhere with the tank.
Thanks for the tip. I just vapped a tank like this. I like:vapor:

Personally I don't think the alignment is important at all. I just align the whistle tip so I have convenient access to the button.... done.
10 minutes ago I would have agreed with you as I noticed no difference in the draw between lined up and 90 degrees off. But I did JWV's mod of removing the inserts. With them removed I can tell a difference in the draw and it's not as tight when the channels are lined up.

Yah, I considered removing the inserts altogether, but it seems to me that it gives a little support when I drop the dang thing on the floor. Instead of breaking, the outer insert pops out. It may also save me from getting juice in the mouth so easily if something goes wrong. Hate that nasty taste.

I do still get a little condensation, but nothing like before. It's barely noticeable.

I thought about the juice issue and figured I would get no more and probably less than dripping plus I'll notice leak or a flooded atty before I get a ton of juice into the mouth piece. I tried it with just one insert and it was still very tight compared to no inserts.

Try drilling some extra holes in them. I tried it with no inserts, and really couldn't tell much difference between no insert and inserts with 3 holes.

I just like having the inserts in, otherwise I feel like I'm going to get something in there like pocket fuzz.

color me stupid, but I don't know what you are referring to as the second insert..I know about the insert that goes in the top (mouthpiece) but the only other thing I can see that is removable is the cap at the bottom...

under the mouthpiece insert there's another one with a little hole and no legs.

Okay...I am probably the only one in the world that this has happened to! As I was happily vaping away on my Ego-T, the weirdest thing occurred. The end-cap for the mouth piece decided to pop off just as I inhaled the vapor from my mouth to my lungs and shot to the back of my throat. I ended up SWALLOWING it because I was driving and couldn't really cough it up! Now I have a tank cartridge with a missing end-cap and it's lost somewhere in the pit of my stomach. Hope it doesn't get stuck somewhere

I was concerned about the choking hazard due to the ease by which the 1st (external) insert can be removed. The 2nd (internal) insert comes out just as easily when the 1st is removed...

However: I've removed the 2nd insert permanently, replaced the 1st one (external, bigger one with the "legs"), and you can push it down further, and more firmly without the 2nd in the way, thereby (in addition to getting better draw), wedging it more safely in place (less likely to be inhaled).

Wow the mothpiece top removal mod - just tried it and it really is the key to a warmer, less plasticy and more flavorful vape!

Well done whomever's idea it was after all these pages!

Can't see why you coul ever get juice in your mouth either as the part of the tank that holds the juice and the part that is for delivering vapor are seperate.

This will be how I vape these from now on! A 20% differance I would estimate!

I got the idea from tenzip's posting his mod with drilling holes in the mouth and insert. You can thank tenzip. I figured there was a easlier way than drilling these small pieces, just remove the 2 pieces. I never get juice in my mouth either way. Anyway I'm glad this helps somewhat. Going on 3 days and no mishaps whatsoever, I also feel a slighty warmer vape as hotwire stated. The horrible plastic taste has been cut down to an almost exceptable level. It's still there but not as bad. The vape is excellent with little to no resistant. The best thing is Flavor. I vape Halo Menthols and could not get much of any taste/flavor. I finally can taste the flavor much more than before. But again it still not as good as it could be. I hope ver 3 works better than ver 2. I hope this tank gets better and better, I'm liking it better each day. Keep the mods coming. It can only get better.

Somewhere along the line, I'm either doing something wrong with my Ego-T, or, the only thing that's consistent about them is their inconsistency. Every now again, I get the perfect tank, like what I have now. Lots of vapor and flavor, better than a real cigarette could ever be, plus no leaks.

My experience says that in an hour, I could put the same liquid in the same tank and it would be dry, flavorless and boring. The one after that would leak all over the place.

I've had tanks for over a week... I don't think I've ever had the same experience twice. I'm thinking it's got to be something I'm doing, but I can't figure out what.
