Day 3 Here:

Both units from CigNot are still performing well. I finished one tank and switched over to a Johnsons Creek Strawberry and it seems like I had a few hiccups with it. Had a few instances with less vapor, but after priming it (sucking without the button depressed) the flow started up again. Happened a few times over the course of the night and hasn't done it again since.

The flavor of the Johnsons also seems alittle muted, but it's also older juice (7-8 months) and I think I'm just starting to lean away from JC in general. I'm going to invest in some RY4 and maybe a few other tobacco's and see if I enjoy those a little better.

Total so far I have 4 tanks through one unit and one tank through the other. You definitely want a pretty good syringe for refills, it will make keeping these things full a breeze. Unfortunately I have a crappy one so it's a little annoying for me atm, but no more so then it was dealing with the marine fill I had in my 510's.

Oh, and also: No leaks, and I havn't noticed any discoloration of any juice when you get to the bottom half, but I'll keep a closer eye on it.

Has anyone tried cutting another (small) air slot in the atty or know of anyone doing it? I'm thinking that three slots may be the answer to my lazy tank, by getting a little more airflow in there.

I'll be interested in comments.

I haven't added a slot, but I made my slots "deeper" for use with a Riva style battery:

I've been using the Tornado Tank for a few weeks now... I love it. I had an issue last week where the liquid seemed to stop wicking and I'd have to take out the tank and reinsert it and it would work.

I cleaned out the straw side of the atty with alcohol and qtips and also blew out the atty using my air compressor. I blew from the battery side so any gunk would come through the straw as I figured going the other way would force any clogs deeper. What came out was a little juice and a couple black specks.

It's been working better than new since then. Simply amazing. I actually made it an entire day and night out on the town with it and didn't have one analog (which I usually do when I drink... 1 or 2 analogs). I didn't even want one. I just kept puffin my eGo... it was awesome not going outside in the cold. :)

My tank-O-miser showed up today. Completely took me by surprise Hawaii to Arizona in two days. Was expecting Wednesday at the earliest. Gave it a good bath in alcohol before using. Measures in @ 2.6ohm on the meter. Getting pretty decent flavor out of it and also vapor. Did get a bit of a nasty hit when i took a huge long drag but that might be cause i am on my first tank and the atomizer has not fully primed yet. First impressions are i am impressed 2 thumbs up:thumbs:

Can't wait to get my variable voltage mod done so i can slap a higher voltage on this thing and see what it will do. I dont think it will need much 3.8 to 4.2 i think will be where the sweet spot is. :vapor:

I've been using the volcano tank for a couple days now. I like how long it lasts but to me ,it has a strange taste at times. It can be a full tank, half tank... doesn't matter. Anyone else using this and/or having this issue?

Puff on it really hard a couple times without hitting the switch, when you get the strange taste. These things prime off a vacuum created by vaping on them.

End of day 2 on one tank and one atty, refilled a LOT (about 10x so far). Still going just fine. I've rinsed out the single tank that I used, and dried it with a Q-tip, have blown out the atty before change of flavor, and wiped the pin/post down with a Qtip damp with alcohol.

I always fill by popping off the bottom, and have had NO leaks.

STILL doing great.

I've only noticed the juice turning dark with one tobacco flavor (some Marlboro spin off), and it went from a ginger ale color to DARK brown, like used motor oil. Others, like the dessert flavors that were also very light, stayed light with only a shade difference.

I've also noticed that the same tobacco flavor started tasting like stale cigarettes...I could really smell and taste the nicotine/tobacco. That bitter cigarette taste.

The RY4 from two different places didn't do this....nor do the other flavors I've used.

That's a significant crater you have there mate. Does it work well? Is it giving you the same kind of draw as the eGo battery or more air (or less I suppose)? I'm guessing you used a dremel?

I've tried mine on my 'eliguid.cn' VGO 1300 batteries. The eGo-T atty's cowling butts up against the VGO's button, but still works fine. The draw seems good too, which is a little surprising considering the fit.

Hello all,

I'm hoping someone could answer a technical question for me regarding this new ego-t setup. I already have a bunch of 510 stuff, including a usb 5v passthrough, and I'm wondering if the ego-t attys will fit the 510 batts and the passthrough. I know it may look silly, but I'll predominantly be using it in my own home so I'm not too worried about looks. I'm also entertaining the possibility of ordering a riva kit and then trying the ego-t atty on that, but I'm already fairly certain that such a setup will work without a problem. Mainly just wondering about the standard 510 compatibility concern.

Any help would be great!

I have an ego-T from clouds of vapor, and I don't have any draw issues. It's not too tight, or too loose, but everyone's mileage may vary due to what they are used to. I'm used to vaping on mods, so the draw for me is always tight, and analog like.
I think the ego-T draw is actually perfect. I don't feel like i'm sucking on a wet sock, and i don't feel like i'm sucking on a straw. For those of you who have the tight draws that are unusable ,or close to it....is this when the atty is at it's dirtiest point for you? Or is it right after you clean the atty also.

I also think everyone is a little too OCD about cleaning these atties, lol. But arent we all OCD when it comes to our precious eCigs and mods ? I've been using the same atty for 10 days now, just blew it out after a few days, but i havent had any problems, and the draw has been the same .I like how fast the flavor can change by just taking the tank off and taking 5-7 vapes right from the atty to get the juice in the wick/mesh and coil out.

I'm not going to clean mine until i truly get no vapor, tight draw, or until nasty liquid is dripping out without a blowout being done.

However, for those of you that are saying it lacks flavor...you are right. When you compare it to direct dripping, or a reoGrand, or a Phidias, or JourneyMan, Ali'i - those are custom, hand made mods that hit like a ton of bricks because each one was made with love and devotion from the craftsman. what we are using is a called a HiLo. It means High Manufacturing amount, Low QC (quality control) out the door...so thats why 30-40% of us are having problems with them.

Once the concept was made, they started to make thousands of units. I wouldnt be surprised if over 20,000 were sold world wide by now.

Imagine how many of us will eagerly pay for V2/V3/V4. We are suckers in this e-Cig world, just like we were suckers in the Analog world...but for me, as long as I'm a sucker with more money in my pocket, i'm happy.

For others its health ,for me, it's strictly money, as selfish and dismal that may be, it's the truth :)

I vape 3-5ml a day, so an average of 4ml a day, costs me 80$ a month, not including hardware, which is another 20. So I'm at 100$ a month, and when I smoked analogs full force, I was at 2 packs a day ($16x30 days = $480) - so yeah. I'm saving money :)

Sorry for the derail. back to you

It should work but will look funky as hell. The sleeve will come down 7/16 of a inch so as long as your switch is down at least 1/2 inch from the battery connector there wont be a problem.

Sounds good, thanks!

Will I have any problems using these ego-t attys with the high voltage 5v passthrough?

Hey Guy!

So below is a long video review that I did that may help people who have had some issues with the eGo-T...It's a full review...but I took an atomizer apart and gave some tips to help solve the dry burn issue. It's actually rather simple...but it only became apparent once I tore an atomizer appart.

Enjoy!

Does anybody have any thoughts on this? If the info already exists, could someone point me towards it?

Just got my tank last night and it ohm's out at 2ohm's. Just tried it for the hell of it on my 5v passthrough to see if I could get some flavor and it didn't help. And if I'm correct that would have put it at around 12 watts which is way to high anyhow but I just wanted to try it. If these tanks are all near 2ohm I wouldn't recommend using them on a 5 v or you could pop them.

One way to find out. slap it on there and see if you like it. My TankOmiser measures in @ 2.6 ohms. So it might be a bit hot @ 5 volts. But depending on your USB source your more then likely going to get at least a .2 voltage drop under load and thats with a 2 amp usb adapter or hub. I am going to jump on the lathe sometime today and make a ego type tip for my passthrough so i can slap the tank on it. Then i can run it off my variable voltage card. I think high 3 to low 4 volts will be the sweet spot on my tankO. But really thats going to come down to my preference.

If your asking will it run at 5 volts without burning up right away then it should handle it just fine. I have been vaping some 2.8 ohm atomiser on high volts for 4 1/2 months now and not lost one yet. At 2.6 it will be just a bit hotter and use a little more amps. So I dont see it being a problem as long as you keep the atomizer coil primed. I will post back tonight after i have ran mine on a higher voltage with my results.

EDIT: Just went out to the garage and tested the atomizer on my good meter. Used this PeiceOcrap meter i had by my desk. But the good meter is showing this as a 2.2 ohm atomizer. Which makes more sense to how it is working. It for sure is going to be pretty hot @ 5 volts. Also going to put more wear and tear on it. I dont really see me pushing this thing passed 4.2 volts when i get it set up on variable voltage.

Alright, thanks for the info. What is the variable voltage card you mentioned? I tried searching but couldn't find anything very illuminating.
