I think the only way to verify that would be for a supplier to chime in. I wouldn't take the posts on this thread as a good gauge of the products reliability. Ticked off consumers will let you know how they feel much more than a satisfied customer.

It may be hard to get a supplier to admit that the product is bad though, wouldn't be good for sales.

So you may be right, but we may never know for sure how many bad units are shipped.

But if anyone is counting, I'm liking these things. :vapor::vapor::vapor:

Not true. Posters here are as quick to praise products, I have found.

I kind of felt like the poster who said as soon as a bad experience is posted it seems like a few regulars immediately chime in in succession with positive comments or filler like 'XXXX website says this' and then several pages of replies to that or something so that there is no time for negative comments to accumulate. That was about 50 pages ago though and it seems to have stopped. Could be coincidence but what with this being the cottage industry it is and with a lot of experienced posters having ties to the industy which seem at the very least getting a lot of free products to review and with a lot of the exaggerated claims for ecigs regarding health and NRT efficiency it does come accross at times as a bit 'wild west.'

That said my ego t kit works fine now I now how to use it optimumly and does exactly what i expect from it and along with several other electronic products I own such as my hp laptop, x-canvass tv etc I would stand by it to the death as a well built, durable, consistantly funtioning product (even though ithasn't got me off the cigs yet - come on lr atty - you can do it for me!)

One gripe is that the threads seemed to have changed. They still close tightly and the unit functions as good as new. but the logos and buttons do not line up as they once did even after having cleaned all threads, something which tells me the threads are wearing slowly over time. The difference is about a 1/4 of an inch.

could boiling the atties cause that? I know obviously, that heating metal can change it....

I am a first time vaper and have been using the tank for 19 days (15 days analog free).

I am vaping about 7 tanks per day

I ordered the kit with 2 extra atomizers and have 2 v1 and 2 v2 atomizers (not sure which came with kit) . Not noticing much difference between the v1/v2.

Have had 2 leaks in this time, both my fault. First leak, the tank was not all the way on the atomizer and the second leak was caused by my failing to put the end cap on properly. Took out the tank and the end cap was still in the atomizer (came out easily by reinserting the tank firmly.. this picked up the cap)

One note about my flooding the atty...I was able to continue to vape for over an hour with the juice in the atty (ie with empty tank) with only minor leaking at the beginning.

Very happy with the tank so far..

Isaac,

I would like to note... based on your avatar you are trying to restrict or prohibit my fundamental right to squeeze breasts. I'm here to tell you that this impetus shall not stand, and for this we shall never be friends.

`Nuff said.

LOL!!!!!

Just not my wife's breasts!! :)

My second one died mid vape on day 11 of use (3 tanks a day). First lasted 9 days. Just for your information.
I really like them apart from the short life of the atties that I have experienced.

RC

G'day RC. Did you try and get the atty replaced under warranty. If you bought it here in OZ I think most suppliers are giving 6 months warranty. Worth looking into imo.

Shepp & Revolver, the eGo-T has nothing to do with Mik Janty. It is a design from Italy and manufactured/distributed in concert with the Korean Joye/Janty (which has virtually nothing to do with Mik) & Joyetech China as far as I know.

Is Janty paying you? Or are you kissing their ... just for free?????????
Because in the case of most of us: WE are payin THEM................... So, the whole 'development / beta stage' thing sounds cool, but if we are gonna be part of the process, which is a pain BTW, then, maybe, we should also be part of their winnings, dont you think?

EDIT: This is not meant to be an insult of any kind; Im not mad at you; you've got a point and sound logical. Im just mad at Janty for they have promised me eternal-tesla-life, heee! So dont take this personal... We cool?

lol, no worries rev, i'm not insulted in the least... and no, they aren't paying me or sending me free stuff (i wish) i just support every aspect of this because i lost a family member to lung cancer and i won't lie, i think its all very exciting to me and to my family members who i have gotten to quit smoking this way. granted, we are paying them for these products, but in order for better versions to come out, they gotta get paid. and something else to think about is how some of these vendors (janty included, sometimes) will send sample liquids, or an extra atty or a few cartomizers as "surprises" as i call them. so to me, it levels out in the end. i expect to get duds, or to have something not work exactly right, but thats also why i buy from vendors i trust and have good warranties and what not. even if its a headache on those few occasions. but nope, not insulted in the least. :)

Well said...

(Heeee!)

that was very well said and on many points i do agree. i guess i'm just in that mindset that i expect problems with new products. we all have had the ups and downs, the moments where ya just wanna throw the thing against the wall and grab a cigarette because of all the headaches...maybe i'm just a lil more layed back about it in the long run though, idunno. but without our experiences whether they be good or bad, things won't get better. whether ur willing to go through it or not is up to the individual person.

my 2 cents... =P

Could it actually be the Atty inside the Cone is what is moving ?, hence the not lining up anymore ? This would be my thoughts after screwing one on and then screwing it on again and it not lining up the same as the first go round. just a thought

...that tells me that this product was rushed to market without any concern fot the vaping public. Can you imagine any other product being brought to market that way. They would be crucified...

Would someone please inform Apple and Microsoft? ;)

Amen. The market solves these things by putting certain ideas/firms out of existence. It's gotta get to market first and foremost so they can figure out whether or not a) it's a good idea, b) it will be profitable (kind of follows from b), c) they should work to improve it.

Not that I'm countib4ng but it seems that you have about a 60/40 chance of getting a working atomizer without any problems. that tells me that this product was rushed to market without any concern fot the vaping public. Can you imagine any other product being brought to market that way. They would be crucified. We vapors are always searching for the Holy Grail of vaping to keep us off analogs. I'm just as guilty for buying one after reading all the complaints on this thread. 2 of my five atomizers are junk just after 3 weeks. That's just not acceptable.
can you tell us specifically how they are junk (burnt? clogged? leaky? weak?) (back to this thread cause it seems to still have life in it--but shouldn't we migrate somewhere where the thread titles would be more useful)

i bought 4 (all volcanocig.com) no doas but the first started leaking heavily after 1.5 days of bliss. nursed it along until the new ones came in (wasting a lot of juice, blowing out the atomizer, using thicker juice toking more softly) I've been using the other three in rotation or simultaneously with fresh tanks and each on its own battery. 1 of the new ones is leaking. I've been trying to swap the tanks around and see if its the juice, the tank connection the leaky wick or what. I'm getting dizzy trying to figure it out--and from pulling continuously on 3 great monster vapor machines.

that's the rub. This thing--when it works--outperforms standard 510, 306, 510 cartomizers, and kr808 cartomizers. it is close but not quite as good as dripping on a fresh brand name janty 510 atomizer. it is lso better than the experience i've had when i've bought a box of 5 atomizers from a solid vendor (who i like too much to dis.) and had each in turn fizzle, clog, get burnt, develop weird taste, start producing low-vapor tasteless fog, and only get worse despite an infinitely varying regimen of cleaning with boiling water, vodka, dry burns, wet burns, neutral juice super strong cinnamon juice (to hide bad tastes) etc.

the tank is by no means perfect--i'd say its a half notch above the previous efforts. but it is definitely a step in the right direction.

Personally i think I'm giving up on these for now. I am enjoying my MapTank and only wanted these to work as good as the MapTank so I would not look too different in public... Now I don't care and have only been using my Map. I was hoping the LR was a positive answer as I have read some good positive reviews, but will hold off on buying them for now because of warranty and vendors standing behind there sail as stated above. I appreciate all that has been said here. I do vape my eGo T sometimes but and when the juice goes bad in taste it just puts me back to my MapTank... I will wait on further purchases for now on the T tank. I do recommend the Map Tank from COV for those wanting to try something of a bigger size! Also the juice taste better than before using the Map.
