So I just ordered my first box mod today which was the EHPro SPD A5. I know this is a clone of something else but I don't know what as of yet, but I would be interested to find out. I guess I will need to buy some nickel wire for the TC part to work correctly but I will but I will be using it with my subtank mini and nano mainly but I did recently buy my first dripper so I will get to experience that as well. This purchase is a step up from my Vamo V7 APV which I still use and like. I hope this new box mod will last me for a while.

So Im looking at this from my supplier, they dont have TC listed as a feature, rather temperature protection. I assumed that this meant there was a safety feature that would prevent the battery from overheating. Ive been a Mechie forever and Im new to box mods. I dont want/need TC right now, just more power to run different coil configurations, triple coil builds on 6 post systems, twisted Kanthal, Claptons, etc. I guess the real question is do I need more than 50w to run these configs?

It should be noted that I like .6-1.2ohms dual coil set ups on my mechs. I want to run these configurations between .3 and .5 ohms

I think some of those builds would require a bit more power to ramp up quicker. As for this box, I have seen a couple reviews that paint this box as a poorly executed design with much needed work on the board. Hopefully they will address these issues. I like the idea of the battery access door, but it's flimsy and prone to early failure rendering this box useless. A 22mm atty has overhang, not a deal breaker, but some would find this off putting. The board, well, it doesn't work properly. Better devices are out there.
