Hey, Im new to this "vaping" thing myself. Also, I live in Minnesota too. I started the ecig thing just in time for the tax increase too. Here I thought it was going to not only help me get a little healthier, but also save me some money. Anyway, I think the health will improve..... the saving money thing, not so much. I have kinda taken this thing and ran with it. BUY BUY BUY!! Ive turned into a carto tank hound!! My first mod is due in the mail tomorrow!! Sigelei ZMax V3. Should be fun. I do have a question about the batteries for it, but I guess I will wait til I get my 5 posts before I inquire about it. I hope you enjoy the "vaping" experience as much as I do!!

Remember Youtube is your friend. Everything I learned was from here and looking at Youtube. Here are some basic things you can search for to get started.

How to charge a ego battery

How to fill a cartomizer

How to inhale a e cig ( I know that sounds funny but you can't inhale them like a reg cigarette!)

Later on as you get better and more used to it then you can search for the other stuff. Just start slow and don't let it overwhelm you. Just don't start with a e cig look alike., About 90 percent of us on here did and upgraded within a month so don't waste the money.

Actually, at 8 months in, I still use stick format, in auto style. With a low resistance carto, or a Vivi Nano, they vape pretty well, and are great for when I want to vape while using both hands for something else.

They're also nice for when you'd just like to vape in peace rather than explain the merits of higher end devices, or just feel a need to be a bit more discrete.

While not my normal vape, I certainly don't see them as a waste of money, just another set up, and a back up as well.

Fellow Minnesotan here. You are lucky if you live in the Twin Cities, as there are some great local stores to check out. Many have a lot of different types of gear, and let you sample liquids, which will help tremendously when it comes to finding a flavor you can vape. If you are near Burnsville, check out Vermillion River store. If near uptown or .... Rapids, check out the E Cig Crib. If near Anoka, there is a store there, too. In Bloomington there is Smokeless Smoking, high prices but good store with good liquids. Smokeless Smoking also has kiosks in the Roseville mall and two other malls, too.

I recommend starting with a cig style and also an eGo type, best of both worlds.

Another Minnesota vaper here who started due to the tax increase. I am about six months into vaping and could not have made a better choice. Back then my local smoke shop started handing out info sheets regarding the tax increase and they suggested vaping.
Still get a few supplies from them just to support my local shop, but get most of my stuff online.
