How long is the break in period for one? Also, does the break in period produce little to no vapor?

for general info:g-tank-us 32 ga kanthal at 5 wraps on 325 wick measuring at 15mm z 30mm

The whole coil glows red and measures out to be 1.8 ohms.

Any ideas.

Have used 400 mesh for over a year and do not understand what breakin, I get a lot of vaper immediately, the taste takes about an hour to settle in. I do put a few drops of juice to prime it at the beginning. Keep priming it until it is wicking and making good vaper on its own.

make sure your mesh wick is isolated from the body where it passes thru into the tank. make sure the mesh wick is not sitting on the bottom of the tank as well. did you oxidize your wick? no part of my coil around the wick ever glows unless the wick stops wicking and it runs dry. i guess start with that!

have not built one yet (waiting on parts). Here is what I gather from reading hundreds of posts in the last couple weeks:

for test fire (ie dry burn):
whole coil turns red evenly = functioning correctly
coil partially lights or lights unevenly indicates a short
coil immediately lights at only one end then slowly warms to red on the rest is a partial short.

coil will not glow if wick is primed and wicking properly. (like when you prime)
if coil is glowing and not producing vapor even with liquid in the tank then you have a wicking problem. mesh rolled too tight or kinked most likely.

again, this is just my research talking. If I am off base here I am sure one of the more experienced folks will chime in additional info.

The only time there is flavor, is when I first prime the wick.

That should give you a hint: your wick is not primed well. You can check if it's not to tight in a hole (and you liquid can't get through). Also, make sure the air has a chance to enter the tank - without it the liquid won't come out (the underpressure!).
