New Genesis type atomizer by DID!

need a little help here now,,changed the coil on DID,,hooked back up to my provari,,every time i push the button it trips the protection circuit,,put it on something not protected ,it fires and produces mass vape,,but it is burnt tasting

what am i missing,,this is a first for me

There is a short somewhere and the resistance will be too low - probably in the 0.5 -0.9 -ohm range, which is probably too low for the provari and hence the error.

Basically, it's a short resulting in low resistance. Try loosening the top coil that goes between the brass nuts.

EDIT : The burnt or metallic taste is from the hotspot which overheats. From my experience with my DiDs, the coil is too tight. I am new to this stuff too and I am learning as I go and I have had the same two things happen to me. So far I have made about 18 or so coils for my 2 DiDs and the last 4 have been perfect. Before that, every one of them suffered from one of the 2 symptoms you mentioned.

Question for the people with experience in genesis style attys.
Wat percentages PG/VG work decent with which mesh?
I ordered sheets from 325 and 400, 325 for the "more" VG liquids 400 for the more PG liquids is as far as i get. What does this "more" exactly mean in %.

I for example have 2 main liquids and a 3rd liquid i keep changing from different vendors. My 2 main liquids are bobbas and orange de sangre (mix). Will bobbas work in a 325 wick or is 100% just TO thick and i asume orange de sangre 80/20 goes on a 400?

It is built on the general "genesis atty" basis if that's what you are asking.

ggrrrrrrrrrrr still need help,,i now have 6 wraps on my wick,,it still keeps tripping my provari,put it on a ego battery and woooooooo hoooooooooooo did it ever put out the vape,,but shorted out my batt ??

i have watched jims video and the zen video more times then care to count !!

Try wrapping the coil around the wick just a tad looser. You will almost think it's too loose. You will get it. I've been there...lol. It's just a learning curve.

Be careful on the 30ga - it will take 7-8 wraps to get enough resistance on the Provari so it's not 'lo'. Start off at 3.3 volts as well.
I use 3/4 wraps of the 32, get 1.5-1.8 (wick diam & tightness are the variables). Make sure the coils arent touching anything (ground nut or brass pos nuts) or each other.
I use the 30ga for dual coils on my non-regulated mods.

I think with this community the best way to advertise by word of mouth for a product that speaks for itself like the DID and customer service. IMO everything Jim has done so far has been perfect as far as "advertising" is concerned by giving great customer service and an awesome product. When I find a product I really like and receive great customer service, I tell everyone I know about it. I know that my strong recommendation of the DID and Jim sell at least 10 that I know of, if not more. I'm lucky enough to have friends and other people on here respect my opinion about products like this and they know I'm an enthusiast of the Genesis style.
