Has anyone had any luck / does anyone have any advice for "brushing" a polished SS DID??

Preferably by hand or with the use of a dremel?

I have several dremel attachments that would likely do the job, but am concerned about it looking completely uneven.

I've had great luck brushing out scratches in already brushed devices, but have never attempted to fully brush a polished device of any kind...

If you mean creating a brushed finish on the casing,
I managed to remove the black rubber coating and brush/polish finish an ego battery the other day.
The trIck I used to get it even was to insert the artery end into a drill chuck and spin it up while tuning fine sand paper SLOWLY up and down the shaft while applying even preasure along the paper. You would need somthing to put in the drill with 510 female thread so as not to damage the DIDs 510 connector. The knurling might impeed rushing right to the edge of the tube and cap, so you might try an o ring between the cap and the top plate to give a bit of extra room to get the sand paper up to the edge, the tank may be done with one o ring at a time at each end and still be able to be tightly screwed together while spinning in the drill.

Agreed.... On all points.
It would seem that in order to get the finish even, the part itself should be rotated..
Good call on the o-rings as the parts would otherwise naturally tighten under the spinning / resistance from the sandpaper..
I'll have to see if an old 510-ego adapter will fit in my drill..

I was thinking you were a young un <20. Sobriety already?. I used to stow away on a ferry from England to Amsterdam regularly to go party in my much younger days. Wonderful city for some fun. Are they still selling (OTHER STUFF) on every corner?

Agreed...it seems some of the younger generation are growing older than their years...:?:

I was filling up the mini DID, knocked everything over...and it hit on the coil/wick & broke the coil, the original set up.
Took things apart, cleaned everything, made a new coil...

WOWZER !!! This is the best I have ever done ! I have huge vapor and I am thrilled !!!

That is some serious collection Rick...you must have too much disposable income...:)
Ahahahah, something like that ;)

If he's anything like me, he just funneled the money from his old and forgotten habits into vaping. :D
Oh god, you couldn't be more right...though at least now I've got my health, mind, and heart back!

I just cleaned up all of my devices, so I'll put my camera out and try and get some solid DID pics to throw up as well!

Amen to that brother. I've only been off the cigs for about three weeks now, and can already tell a difference. The rest was left behind years ago.

Feels great doesn't it! Give it time, and you'll feel this beautiful levity in your lungs that the cigarettes just rob you of.

getting kinda worried. i went on the did website, and it takes me to some advertisement page, like it doesnt exsist.. anyone know whats up w that?
Have no fear! I just talked to Jim and he is doing some maintenance on the server to get everything ready for the upcoming inventory updates. He's going to fill us in tomorrow to give us a final update on when everything will be back up and running, but he thinks that it will take 3-4 more days.

They're have a website issue, but Jim posted that all shipments are still going out (can take about a week to get a tracking number). My experience has been that shipping to the US is pretty quick, but getting through customs and traveling around the US seems to have some "process issues". Once you have a tracking number expect 2 days to the US and then around 2 weeks to clear customs.

Nothing helps that waiting feeling, it's really tough waiting. Once it's left e-Vape, it's all up to the mail system. The mail folks do not consistently update the tracking system. Out of all my shipments I've only had 3 that weren't listed as "still in NY" when they were delivered to me.

Think you don't have to be...
I went to the site this morning and in my account it said my order from 09-07 was shipped.
So 10 day's afterthe order, but this has been announced all week on the front page.
One week for handling the order, two weeks for shipment.

Later today I saw the main page said, the shop was closed to handle all the orders of last week.
If you read this thread, Jim said this afternoon there are some problems with the site and he's on top of it.

So don't worry to much, I think your order is in good hands:)

It's a painting I made of my Irish Woolfhound, Armellon, who sadly I had to let go last year.
Most kind and sweet caracter I've ever met, an honor to have had him in my life...
I miss him like no other, and like to have him with me when I explore new horizons. :)

What kind of dog is Ollie. From the looks it's an Irish too!!!
(heart is jumping ;-) )
Same big black corck...
