New Genesis type atomizer by DID!

Lots of them put out more then 10 watts. Just to name some. Provari v1 and v2 both. Buzz Pro. Lava tube. The list goes on for days.

. Basic electric. Volts push. Amps heat. It could be one volt but we need 3-4 amps to heat this 32 wire. I was in shop class one day years ago we used the wrong gauge wire for a heater but 100 amps through a 10 amp wire. Vaping was born. . Puke smell lolTony
I did some basic searching on the net there is a equation to determine the amount of current to heat a particular wire to a certain temperature.
I have been browsing the electrical and engineering forums to see if I can find a Cool dude or girl to help me find the proper amperage for 34. 32 30 8 gauge wire to attain the correct temp. That is another unknown. What is the best temp to heat e juice for best flavor and vapor.
Sure right now we are just winging it and it works.
Imagine using 40 or 50 gauge wire at . 5 amps 0n a 10 or 15 wrap coil with a triple a battery. Same result if we can get the heat needed.

this high wattage thing is kind of funny to me,,if you remember back in january the big fad was to vape at 6volts,so much plumage
now most are at 3.7 to 4.6 range and very happy
i tried the 6volt thing once,egad vape was way to hot for me ,i stick it at about 3.7 for most everything and am very content

You sir have just eloquently summed up why I'm hopelessly hooked, could never go back to nasty tasting cigs, and have bought five devices (PV's only, ignoring the DID, and atties and such) in my short duration in this hobby.

Yes amps make heat.

I've had my DID D20 for a couple of weeks now and it's all I use. The quality of workmanship of the individual parts is second to none. This is Provaria or Precise territory
I started this journey with the E-Lites at £28.00 then moved onto a Ego -C kit at £60.00 and then arrived at the Genisis DID, so I was lucky to get here with so little cost or waste.
I nearly didn't make it as when I worked out the cost of buying the DID, Mod, batteries and charger it came to £270, so I shelved the idea but reading all the positive (between the lines) comments on here I still hankered after a DID as I like quality products.
Then my wife suggested I order a DID and put my Ego C battery on it to try and see if I liked it. That way only costing me £ 73.00. It won't fit I protested but then found out it would as all Ego C batteries have an internal 510 thread. It won't be powerful enough was my next thought but then quickly dismissed Oh we'll I thought I can always sell it on as they are in such high demand.
Do you know what, to this day my satin DID still sits on a Ego C 650mah battery in steel and with 1 spare battery does me all day (4ml of juice) and performs like a steam train with loads more vapour and flavour than I have ever experienced before.
So if you haven't got any gear, just buy a Ego C battery (£12.00) and charger (£4.00) and give it a try, as it looks perfect, is made to perfection and best of all it works!

Well they do when multipled by the volts being used to give Watts.
V x A = W
Watts are power or heat generated through/around our coils just like a light bulb.
As an example as to why the amps value on its own has no meaning:-
3.7v battery with 1.8ohm coil = 2.055Amps
6.0v battery with 2.9ohm coil = 2.055Amps also but then:-
3.7V x 2.055A = 7.60 Watts of power/heat at coil
6.0V x 2.055A = 12.33 Watts of power/heat at coil
So both setups generate the same amount of current (Amps) flowing around the circuit but the one with a higher resistance coil and voltage produce the hotter coil with more Watts

I'm just going to follow all the top manufactures out there who have the money and resources to do all the tests.
Take Joyetec as an example with the Ego C, when they released that little gem the battery was 3.7v and the atomiser 2.3ohms.
Then they brought out a low resistance atomomiser 1.8ohms and stuck with those.
I switch between those two resistances when the juice I'm using requires it as I find fruits like the lower heat and I use 2.3ohms and tobacco likes a higher temperature to release all the flavour so I use 1.8ohms.
Manufactures never miss a trick trying to make more money from a product but do you see 1.3, 0,9, 2.7ohm atomisers from them? No because they got it right and those two cover most of the juice and people's preferences and those two resistances are what I wrap all my coils at. I like to keep things as simple as possible and enjoy the vape

Coolest part about the ohms/volts/amps/watts discussion is that the DID can be configured anyway you want. A fixed voltage stacked 3.0v (6.0v) batt PV could give you 40.0 watts@0.9ohm (although I think there'd be nothing left but a crater where you were standing when you took the first puff) and VV let's you tune for your juice/taste and get regulated output (but comes with switch limitations and a less forgiving setup phase).
Both are great if they satisfy you. I'm a baby when it comes to pain, so sticking with my boring old ~9watts (which means I can happily use both - including the 10watt limitation of the Kick...)
