Wow, that Kanthal sold out FAST. I'm sure we were all waiting on the same supplier to re-stock! Glad I've got 200ft coming. I'd imagine that should last me a long while. Though being new to this, I'll probably make 200ft worth of coils before I get it figured out ;) Did receive my shipping notification today... now the real wait begins.

I will echo everyone else, and say that Jim is a top notch fella, and has some of the BEST customer service/relations of anyone I've dealt with. I can't thank you enough Jim!

I think it's safe to say that Jim did not anticipate just how many orders would be placed! It's amazing hes manged to stay on top of it so far! I think a break is in order for sure, as like Striker, mines been sent, so feel free to take a few days off ;)

All jokes aside, I hope everyone gets the DID safe and sound, and enjoys it as much as I hope to!

Not really, per se.

The only thing that I didn't like was the switch, and the fact that the recommended batteries fit so loosely.. Other than that it worked great. Just wanted something to stick on my Provari for consistent firing and regulated voltage...

DID was the answer. Now I need to order another one because I agreed to sell one of the two I ordered to a buddy of mine...

I caught your post before you edited it, and I actually think your pretty spot on. If he had done his research ahead of time (which I'm sure he did) then he knew going in what the demand would be. I think you're right though, he had to know that they'd sell like crazy, especially once the word got out.

I can't even begin to imagine the work put into these. The man is dedicated, and I wish him nothing but success in this venture. I'd say so far so good :) He is very wise to sell and market them the way he does. The idea that someone can order one, and have it in a reasonable amount of time is a HUGE draw to folks like us.

I'm very happy we all have the opportunity to be a part of this. It is only going to get better from here!

But yes, bring on the Mini DID!

Same here. Switch would not work 70% of the time. Then the magnets broke. Thats when I broke. To bad cause I loved it when it worked.

... Plus Jim wouldn't have plucked that address out of the air. That someone in Harbor City, CA has ordered something from Jim and if the order they received is wrong, should have the decency to fess up and return it......

...... under pressure, it's easy to confuse a tracking number or two, so come on Harbor City, CA.... otherwise the next thing we'll all send you is a little bad karma, man.....

That makes sense - he wouldnt have pulled the address out of the air. That person better send them back or someone will put the Maloik on him

Nothin against New Yorkers, but the New York P.O. SUCKS !!!!! My DID got in NY on the 14th. 6 days later still can't seem to make it to Jacksonville Fl. I get packages from Cali that get here in 3-4 days. That must be an extremely busy hub.
Heres hopin' for before the weekend .........

Mine was in NY also on the 14th - just received it yesterday afternoon, so hopefully yours will come today or tomorrow

My DiD arrived. It was ... the most simple-to-get Genesis type mod ever for me: ordered and shipped. I wanted to have a spare set of O-rings, the site charged 1 more Euro and that was not much so I ordered anyway (heh, save the shipping fee :D). Nope, Metal Madness hooked me up without charging me, not much but courtesy is fully appreciated here.

The unit seem to be of very well craftsmanship. I am interested in wanting to know what kind of stainless-steel was used. Will play with this awesome DiD a month or so to experiment more till I re-post here. Nevertheless, everything feels very solid. Thanks.

Got my DID today... This being my first rebuildable, I watched the videos, and like people were mentioning before... getting hot spots at positive center post. I take it you have to wrap this thing just right, not too tight, and not too loose?

Thats right, it takes getting use to. When you get it down, you will be able to throw in a wick and wrap it in less than 5 min.

We all go through this, last yr when I got my first genisis, went through 20 coils before doing it right. I daresay I was quite impatient, also was in bad humor, would pull of the wire and start over again. And that was just with coil, let alone getting the wick right. One can wrap it too tight, too much mesh, etc, etc, that all plays apart too in the vape.

I'm waiting for my Kanthal D from Finland also, I ordered mine from here: http://buymywire.com/ the first time. Ebay is literately no 32 gauge A1 for the last two weeks or more

Sorry it gave you such a hard time, seems like I had better luck.. I just didn't care for a 5ml tank that I had to change batteries 5 times to get through the all of it. And the reasons I mentioned before.

The DID I can slap on any 510 device I own for whatever mood I'm in, or to suit whatever I'm doing at that moment... Just waiting for some Pyrex or Quartz tanks so I can use my stupid DIY tank cracking menthol juice in it... I do love the all stainless construction but when I'm out and about, I like to see when I need a refill.

All in all... I hope mine come in the fkn mail tomorrow, lol.

EVERY order sent out MUST HAVE been a customer who ordered something. After he's had some sleep, I'm sure Jim'll be able to 'backtrack' and see where he went wrong. It's my guess the packages and tracking numbers have slipped out of sync by one or two.

I agree, he's supposed to re-send today. Hoping my second order #546 will get shipped today too as I ordered it on 6/11 and it's been processing since 6/18.

Thanks dspin, I appreciate you and outadadark sticking up for me- I guess it's possible that person also ordered 2 DIDs and an extra set of o-rings and just didn't realize they got the wrong order. Jim is going to take care of that one for me, now I'm only worried about the second order as its #546 and no shipping number yet :(
