if its insulated, it would be insulated away from the juice, also insulation if made with plastic would melt i think...

IMHO that would make no sense. why would you insulate a wire that is going to heat up

Well I was thinking about enamel insulation like used for coil wire. AFAIK it's an electrical but not a very good thermal insulator (very thin coating). I'm just a bit worried bout the whole wick burning process really :)

Patiently waiting my DID toy, glad I still got the order in.

Hasn't the present Genesis system been around a while now, through it's various incarnations. And the bare Kanthal/Nichrome wire seems to have held it's place as the best conductor of the heat required to vaporise ejuice?

Not sure about ceramic, but anything's possible.... Nevertheless, you're still gonna luv ya DID!!

Edit: Do you mean wick burning as in SS Mesh wick or the Silica based stranded stuff, cos with the SS Mesh, I don't think there's any burning per se, mainly heat...

I'm happy to see a shipping notification in my in-box. OK, happy is an understatement.

I'm in the process of building a super, dual 18650, VW (DNA 12) APV for the DID. Bocote sides, stamped chrome poker pattern door, polished anti-vandal switch and Texas ebony top and bottom. Should be a tuxedo-piece when I'm done. Will post pics in about a week.

Yeah...Jim posted a few days ago that he maybe needed to "take off the buy button" or something along those lines due to the overwhelming amount of orders coming in. I guess he "DiD" it. lol . i don't think Jim really knew just how good his product really is compared to the other R.A.'s. WELL HE DOES NOW. Im lovin mine.2.6 ohm coil on my Chrome slick body VMAX at 4.0v. What can I say other than SAWEEEEEEEEEEEEET !!!!

J, what gauge wire and how many wraps is that? The vmax loves that 2.5-3.0 ohm sweet spot.

Can u share this info on the vmax thread so we know how you got to 2.6 ohms?

Also igetcha69 just post a great tutorial about using rolling paper on the wick after the oxidization process which may help a lot of you guys that are having coil burning/poping issue, I'm going to make it a regular practice from now on. Check out Scott's vid on YouTube

Pretty ingenious, I will incorporate this paper technique.

That sounds like a beast that will serve the DID well. (or the DID will serve it / you well) :) Looking forward to the pics.

Nice, was gonna offer to loan you a PV til you got yours... Seems that Odys are on their way to Bruce, so hopefully sometime next week they'll be shipping.

and thanks... used my girl's point and shoot, my camera is some 6 year old POS lol

Thanks for the update, and the offer. Been too busy as of yet.

I heard that distinct barking from my dog telling me the mail man was in my yard a few minutes ago. More free priority shipping boxes. Thats the last of the boxes so now I know next time that I can get all worked up and excited. The glass is half full.
