3.5mm for standard & shortie, 2.8mm for Gemini/Mini.

100€? That seems like an awful lot compared to what I've paid in the past. Is it just really expensive where you're from or is there a ton of extra shipping?

Hmmm only a Torch cost me around 40€ than I need a gass and Im on 50€ than this mesh metal a few pieces is around 40€ and 10€ shipping cost because In my country you cant go to the store and buy all this together its simply unavailable here except the Torch :) I rather buy 2x DID and use cotton pads further :)

Not sure what type of stove you have, but plenty of folks are very successful oxidizing using their gas stove or barbecue grill. Also, Jim provides enough wire and mesh with the DIDs for ~8 wicks (4x 325 & 4x 400). Won't last forever, but plenty to get started. I will admit though, playing with the torch is really fun :D

I use SS mesh 99% of the time in my DID and have also been very successful experimenting with Silica as well (in standards and Mini DIDs).

quick question. If the Temon comes with a D16 (perfectly matched profile "medium DID") will the Poldiac come with a D22.5 "fatty"? (I think I remember seeing that OD somewhere in this thread)

YESS
Give me some time to finish with POLDIAC and then the update for the DID that makes him 22.6mm will be soon available!

Question to anybody in the US:

Has anybody else had issues with shipping/customs of late? My DID shipped on 11/2, and has yet to show up. I have another package from Greece that has apparently been in customs since 11/4 according to my tracking number.

I'm beginning to think I might never see my DID (that or I am just young and therefore impatient)

What is Poldiac ?

All roads lead to Rome (or in this case Athens :))

Poldiac is Jim's soon to be unveiled 18650 PV. We should get details (and photos) within the next couple weeks.
