Just read that entire thread. Would be great to eliminate the need for oxidizing, but there are some serious technical issues to sort out. In the vids Dan posted, the vapor all comes out through the end of the tube where as gennie style atties rely on being able to flow air across the heating element to force thermal expansion (e.g. air direct on coil == more vapor). Would be interesting to see if a perforated pyrex sleeve could be fabricated that allowed the wick to be completely isolated yet still allowed air contact with the heated juice surface.

Thx for the heads-up, I subscribed to that thread and registered for purchasing some tubing.

Your'e welcome. That's a good point. I ordered some tubing. It's worth a shot. I could use a bit more TH on the DID. I hope it works out for me. The perforated pyrex sounds very interesting. That could be the ticket.

That is really cool! No more recoiling. Jim should look into adding this to his design.

If it works the way they're testing it now, would simply be another method for rolling a wick and coil. Only mod to the DID would be to add an o-ring to the top cap to redirect the air hole off of the coil.

The POLDIAC is very close so I am ready to give the first look!
I can not post the product like it will be when available!

This means we aren't seeing it in it's final glory, a bit like when you see the auto press stealing a photo while they're testing a new Ferrari and they put a Fiat Punto bonnet on it and paint it matte black and the radar clocks it at 400KPH
I think we can see the beauty through the vapor Jim.

I'm so looking forward to getting a mechanical mod that hits like a mule at every press of the button, compliments my four DIDs and ........ DID I mention I want one? LOL

Just read the whole thread too, thanks mate for mentioning this, and JimiD for the original post & Scubabatdan for being a genesis hero, one to watch for sure.
Just when I was getting seriously consistent & great results with my mesh oxidization and coiling technique, now they tell us LOL.

Ingenuous! Looks like you slightly depress the firing button and turn the cap to hide/lock the button. With the button exposed, fully pressing it fires it! :vapor:
Oh I need a Poldiac badly.

It's a great idea. Dan posted a new vid showing the vapor production in real-world usage and it is not close to what I'm getting from a normal build. Eliminating the need for all the oxidation and hot spot/short tuning will be a welcome improvement for sure but I've become too accustomed to (or maybe spoiled by...) DID Vaping Excellence. I ordered some of the tubing to play with and asked if they make custom sized 3.5mm/2.8mm to better match DID specs.
