After you aneal (heat) it, pinch it between your thumbnail and index finger, pull it through a few times with some pressure on it and it will take the kinks out.

Does anyone one know if it is a big deal using a propane torch as opposed to a butane one for the oxidizing process?
I use a butane torch, but have heard that propane works just as good if not better.

Just ordered my DID a few minutes ago.This will be my first atomizer of this type/style but,can't wait.Looks relatively simple to put it into service.
Thx guys for the propane torch replies, fixed a couple hot water tanks so I bought a propane torch a while ago, nice to know ill be able to use it again lol
Patience... you're trying too hard. Walk away for a few mins and try again. The coil doesn't need to be super tight or loose. Try putting rolling paper around your wick before you wrap your coil, and make sure your wick is oxidized enough.

You can also try using a silica wick instead of mesh if it's too difficult for you
yep, im in the same boat as you sir. im trying to have patience as well...but man its hard with all these amazing reviews.

I think the way Jim works his orders is he will say something like All order from this week will be shipped on Friday . So that means if you order on Monday, and it goes to his shipper on Friday, you will not have a tracking number until the next Monday at best depending on volume, but most likely Tuesday as the Greek postal workers do not work weekends.
That said, it seems Jim moved up the ship day on this weeks orders to Thursday so maybe that will help speed things up to get processed.
Iv'e been dealing with European business's for years, and to some of (cough France, cough, Italy, cough) 6 weeks to them they think is excellent service when we want it yesterday.

Gratz on the DID. Yes, it comes with a meter or so of kanthal32 & enough mesh to make 4, 400 wicks & 4 325 wicks.

Your EXACTLY RIGHT , I got my order confirmation 2 days after I ordered, then my shipping/tracking confirmation like 5-6 days after that. Ya gotta admit... we as Americans want "INSTANT GRATIFICATION" We are kind of a spoiled rotten society and want everything we want 90 seconds ago yesterday. We no sooner hit the submit order button as were walking out to the mailbox expecting our order to be in it. lol. Sometimes I think were the ones that are NUTZ. lol lol. All of the European countries I've ordered from and dealt with their all pretty much the same mentality. inside 5-6 weeks is great shipping times to them.
Everyone who's waiting on their order try not to panic or get too anxious before the 9 day mark "after" you have received your order confirmation. Out of 800+ orders I think Jim said only 1 has gotten lost in the mail. Thats pretty good in my book. Just try to be patient, it will get there. ...........Take care everyone. ...............J
