Hi everyone! This will be my first experience with SS mesh and I've been wondering how do you clean it when it gets gunked up? Or do you just make a new one? I am so excited to get the DID I can't stand it! I couldn't find Kanthal 32 so I got 33 and 34, if anyone thinks 32 will be better and knows where I can get it could you please let me know? None to be found on eBay.
Would love to see more pics of your DID set-ups for those that already have one :)

Since I'm in Florida, I believe mine went through Miami customs. It will come people, don't worry. I did though, so I understand. Jim sends them registered, which is the safest means of shipping!
^^^ It's always NY. The tracking is supposed to change to indicate that it cleared customs and moved to the post office. My guess is it got there friday and the weekend off and this is the 3rd working day. Hopefully they will be done with it today.

The wait is killing me.

To clean the mesh you can simply run it under hot water, boil it, or take the torch to it,,, also as far as torches go I see everyone buying these little cheap butane torches for $25-$50 bucks,, you can go to Home Depot and buy a whole blue 16oz tank and propane for about $7 and a reg Brass Torch head for another $8-10, same torch plumbers use, and they get plenty hot enough to oxidize mesh too,,, and have way more gas and an even better torch that will last you a lot longer then these small butane ones, the electronic switches in those other ones also go bad pretty quickly, just trying to help and save ya some money.

Does the propane tanks for the grills work for this if I get a pipe/tubing to connect to the torch head? Also could you get an example of the torch head. Is it something like this Worthington Pro Grade Brass Torch ?

or a whole kit like this : Bernzomatic Fat Boy Propane Torch Kit ?

Mwa Thank You!!! I've been reading that the propane ones are better for wick oxidation and my hubby has a soldering torch and he "gave me permission" to use it LOL ! So I guess I'll use that to clean my mesh of the gunk. I have to tell you mwa that although I don't post much on the forum I devoutly read it multiple times a day and I'm a big fan of yours ;) I go back to the first CE 2 days and have been making my own syringe mods since then but have been wanting a rebuildable atty for a while and the DID seems to meet my needs perfectly! Glad to see your post here! Patti

Ive had one of them in the garage for years. Never used a full tank yet. I just wanted something I can fit on the desk and forget. It comes in a case with all kinds of adapters, and came with solder too. My kids cant open the box and thats another good thing. Mine lights with a lighter, and so can the other ones if the spark igniter ever broke. I have to use a lighter to light the bigger one your talking about unless I shell out for the tip with the spark igniter. A lighter is just easy IMO. The case my set came in is less then half the size of a keyboard.

More DID Porn. May not be graceful like others, but my first bike had training wheels too. This is my first rebuildable I have had time to sit down and get rolling. Out of the five in my pile, this is the one I was drawn to. It just makes since (to me). It vapes like a frikken train, like nothing I have ever experienced. I'm sure I don't have it perfect, but the vape is great. 3 coils today. tweaked many times after I got this one going. been on several hours around 3.34 v and (showing on the inline meter) 3.24 connected. Numbers aren't matching up just right, but I think I'm in the safe zone anyway. The vape is ...wow, even tastes good...wasn't so wonderful earlier today. Plumes of vape. OK, I'm done rattling! Good Job Jim, You changed my life! Thank You!

Wow. No doubt about it now. That thing looks amazing. I did a total flip just a few minutes ago. Turned Orion into a DID, Iatty2, and the chrome VV 18650 Lambo. Will get the Provari at tax time. Oh and I also have 2 twenty's left over.

By the way the Iatty and p are on the site at this very moment.

Received my DID yesterday afternoon. Flawless finish, smooth as silk threads. Outstanding construction. Vapes great, used 325 mesh, 3 wraps 32 G Kanthal. 30 G Kanthal in the mail. Would recommend this to anyone. Fits like a glove on a Precise P-18, also looks great on a GGTB and GGTS.

Tried several diff drip tips, best is any with largest openings such as Innovapor's tru flo drip tip. I have one that is made quite similar but a bit taller and is even better. Just wish it was SS. Pics to follow later today.

I also do not use the screw in fill hole - vapes and tastes much better without it.

This genisis looks great and vapes even better that I just ordered a second one. Very elegant and beautiful genisis being all polished SS.
