Provari E1... PLEASE help

I just got my DID today and re-DID mesh and wire about 10 times and keep getting E1 errors. I already have a Line v2 and I can do mesh and wire fine on that but I am rerady to throw the DID out the window. Does anyone have any suggestions. Also what are the baby o-rings for? Maybe that is my problem. I have no clue where they go.

Hi mike, I got a lot of errors when I started out too- very frustrating but with some fiddling ( and great suggestions here ) I found what works for me now. I torch my mesh before I cut and roll it, I make 3 pieces from 1 sheet that Jim gives us, fold one edge and roll the opposite edge up to the folded one using the Allen wrench -get it good and tight, cut bottom of wick at angle, burn with lighter a few times, coil kinda loosely so wick moves within the coil and secure to posts. I've found with this process I'm getting good wick oxidation and rarely any hotspots. Hope this helps.
The small o rings go on the metal post that screws into both tank ends. Now onto the provari .....fussy device that it is. I have a cheap vv Altoids box mod that I use to test the coil and wick for shorts. It doesn't care if there are shorts. Once life looks good on the short front I slap it on my provari ...drop the power down to 3.3 and check the ohms. If all is well at this point I up it to 3.7 and vape away. The provary I'd probably my fussiest mod. You can also use an ego pass through (may fry the ego battery though).
Make sure you drop the voltage down to the lowest before checking ohms. LR coils will cause an e1 error if voltage too high.

I was able to get on call from work and got the chance to setup the DID. I was hoping to be one of those lucky ones and set it up perfectly first go round, but no such luck, lol I'm getting e1 and e2 errors on the provari not quite sure what I'm doing wrong. I imagine there's a short somewhere as I'm getting little vapor and a burnt flavor. The third coil I made had better vapor but still getting a burnt flavor. Ive gone through half a tank and the wick is wicking the juice well. I oxidized the wick per all the suggestions and used the cig paper as well. I noticed that the top coil glows red, maybe thats the culprit. I'm glad I got 200' of coil to play with as I'm thinking I'm in for a steep learning curve with this thing. It does look badass though :)

Guys I just found one helluva wick set up that works super in the DID, it's the DUAL WICK set up. Make a regular fat size wick for your DID like normal, then roll up a 2nd wick smaller with a small hole , Oxidize both and get them ready like normal.. Then slide the smaller wick into the bigger one and do what ever wrap you normally do. This set up helps pull more liquid into the wick system and just for some reason WORKS GREAT, and the flavor is out of this freaking word. JUST TRY THIS, I've been hitting one of these for the last 2 hours and I haven't ever had anything better. This DUAL WICK one inside of the other is a MUST TRY the smaller one should fit snug into the bigger one and the inside wick has a small hole running up the center

I have a 4 wrap. It's reading 2.2 ohms and I'm at 3.9. I think I'll up it a little :)

Hope you dont get the dreaded burn. My PV is a Lambo. Its basically a fancy lava tube with gen1 internals. I have no way to test under load but the DID will not get a dry hit no matter how high I turn it up. With that being said. I dont really know what its load voltage is at 4.5. Could be lower then. It produced more vapor up to 5 volts but again I am not sure what its really pushing. At 4.5 I still only hold it at the 4 o'clock position. So I guess its not pushing much. Unless Jim slipped me the super mesh with extra flow control :vapor:

So a question for you veteran users of R.A.'s ....... What # mesh do you all prefer and use for 60PG juice...sometimes 50/50 ?
Right now Im using 270 & 325 SS. Im getting very consistent flow, flavor, And wicking without tilting, tipping or any type of aid. Am I on the right track ?

I like the taste of 400 the best of all - I use all VG or 70 vg. when avail. Sometimes I have to get 50x50 when thats all vendor will do with some tobacs

What makes this any better than just using a single fat wick? Seems like more trouble than it's worth to me.

I had an idea. As I am not a modder, I don't even know if this is possible, so if you modding folks could critique this, I'd be happy.
OK, here goes....
Is it possible to coat the knurled outside of the nuts on a DiD with ceramic, but leave the portion where the nuts touch each other uncoated?
If this was possible, I believe this would eliminate 98% of the shorts people are getting because the coils are touching the nuts. Or, if not ceramic, some other high temp resistant non-conductive material. I know it's not something a DIYer could do at home, but is it something that's possible for a person like Jim?

I am of no help with the E1 errors.
The small o-rings go on the center post. It shows in either Jim's initial video or Scott's review. Both are great videos, so it might help with the error to watch them.

error gives you when something is wrong with the mesh.i use my did with mini provari v2 with no problem at all!i had e1 errors when the mesh wasn't right.burn it couple times more and try again.

I was using it on my VMAX V2 which was absolutely flawless but I just got the new TRUE 4 AMP V2 Lavatube that looks like the Lambo but is actually pretty heavy and sturdy in feel. This thing has to be triple dipped in chrome the finish is so thick and mirror-like, hands down the best chrome finish I've seen in a long time which is why the DID looks sooooo good on top of it. The DiD finish matches pretty well. But the power of this device is extremely impressive. I'm running a 5 wrap coil @ 2.4Ω and have the device set at 3.6v and it's absolutely amazing in every way. It feels like and looks like (by vapor production) I'm vaping a 2.5Ω anything at 5v. I've finally got the jist of this whole rebuild situation, still have a few issues here and there but for the most part very easy to get running perfect and adjust. It pretty much tells you whats wrong when something is off, you just have to know where and how to make the adjustment to make it happy, and you'll know it when that next draw you take makes your mouth water and salivate by the huge amount of flavor that pours out of it in a plume of vapor so thick and white it would make a glass of milk jealous. Theirs really only 1 downfall to the DiD that I have found......Nic BUZZ !!! Theirs sooo much saturation and vapor entering your lungs you get 3x's the amount of nicotine absorbtion. A lot of folks may end up either vaping less frequently :)nah::lol:) or lowering their nic levels. My moneys on the latter of the 2. But I don't think anyone lowering their nic level would or could really be declared as a bad thing in any way....right ? So I guess the DiD is flawless after all. lol. Take care ALL....Hope your all thoroughly enjoying your DiD/DiD's as much as I am.

** I had a short post before this that I could really use some insite and direction on from a veteran R.A. user when 1 of you get the time....I appreciate any opinions or personal experience with this topic. TIA. Have a great Did everyone...I mean Day.

I just noticed after posting this "dspin" did reply to my inquiry,so thank you for that "d". But obviously the more the marrier, I'd really like multiple people to throw out the preference on mesh # and why you like it. I've heard 270 is amazing with a 50%+ (higher) juices. Whatcha guys and gals think ? I have 4 square yards of 270 and 325 each but have only used 325 so far till I got more info.
