DID is quite amazing, flavor is really something, however the vapor isn't very warm, I like a hot vape, anyway I can get it warmer? I'm at 2 ohms between 3.2 and 3.6 volts.

Hi Zurd, I like a warmer vape too and I found if I take a few primer puffs it helps to heat up the coil and provide that warmer vape. Long, slow draw too. Of course, VV helps to key in on this as well. I think "fiddling" = "fine tuning" here. Patience is the key because once you learn the DID you're DONE with everything else :).

Pretty much sums it up for me too. Except having hit the DID sweet spot for some time now, I'm ready to move on to something else.

Bring on the Mini and Gemini :D

dspin how hot do you run your juice? and do you tend to vape at a higher angle (3-4 o'clock) ?

can't wait to get my DID, Jim where are you...

I use half sheet of Jims mesh for wick, 400 - 32 G Kanthal. three wraps w/standard air hole - on the other DID airhole drilled to 1/16th and use 5 wraps of 30G Kanthal

Vape at 4 and 5 o'clock

So I DID order my DID on sunday, and am anxiously awaiting it.

I have read the entire thread from start to finish, seen every single video on youtube that I could find about this little beauty, and now.... now I just need to wait. Horrible, horrible wait.

Ah well... At least I'm from Denmark, no problems with customs, so once it has been sent, it should get to my grimey little hands fairly quickly.

Will be most interesting to fiddle with this thing, it's my first true rebuildable... I do have a Vivi Nova that I've been considering adding a mesh wick to, but I think I'll just hold up and await the DID.

I just want to give a shoutout to Jim for creating this beauty, and making it available to us, but also to everyone in this thread for the huge amount of help and info you share.

You all rock!
