:2cool:I just got my DID today. I am very, very disappointed with this crap. I have changed the coil 6 times now, replaced the wire mesh twice. Still a piece of crap. The first problem I noticed right away is it is too airy. The air inlet hole should have been drilled smaller so the user can have the option to enlarge it very very slowly in small increments. The best thing they did is switch to stainless steel center rod and knurled nuts from brass. Gone is the allen panhead screws, but why not Philip head screws? With the Philip heads they will not fall off so easily. The wire mesh is the main problem. The coil windings short out onto the mesh itself. I watch it do it when the wick dries up. I wish he, the designer, knew that a ceramic type wick material is available, at least in the USA. They are available in different porosities. I found it when I was searching for the best wick to use if I have to change to a better material because I suspected that the wire mesh is a potential short circuit problem. They are available custom built to whatever dimensions you want. I hope they get to read this post. Why do those reviewers of the DID don't seem to report the negatives? Say it like it is! I do not recommend this DID to anyone. It really DID upset me very much.

I for one don't agree with you. I've had mine for over 3 months. Works great. Need to look in the mirror. You must be doing many things wrong. To tell the truth you sound silly. I'm sure many people here will help you if you want. I for one have no interest. I don't like people like you.

Nicotinologist, it's up to you what you'll do with you DID, but if you can't get it working right, it doesn't mean atomizer itself is a problem. I also had a lot of problems at the beginning, but now this is the only atomizer I use. Just take your time and read this thread carefully, there are many usefull information here.

So 6 coils, 2 mesh, too airy, no help sought, AND it's brand new never used?

Listen. Everyone has their opinion. The genesis style is not for everyone. And some genesis styles are better suited for some people than other styles. But that was one helluva tirade that you went on without understanding the rebuildable world. I believe if you're not going to ask for help, then maybe it's a simple matter of "rebuildables aren't for me" and that's it. I have a small feeling that there are hundreds of others here that believe you're "piece of crap" purchase was from a lack of knowledge off the cuff statement or buyers remorse.
I'm sorry it didn't work out. But sometimes it's not the car, it's the driver. And not all cars are perfect for all drivers.

Just sayin'.

First of all you couldn't be more wrong. I have been using my DID since July, in both the original and mini version, and prior, used every known type of device made. I can assure you, none work better, or healthier, than my DID with stainless mesh. Your incendiary style of insulting the product coupled with your obvious lack of knowledge regarding SS mesh suggests to me, you simply may not wish to take the time to develop proper use of product, in which case, sell it, and move on. On the other hand, if you will take a deep breath, read this thread, and are willing to take a little time to actually get to understand the principles of Genesis style attys, you will understand why hundreds of us are enjoying the solid performance, reliability, and style of the DID. Good luck whatever you choose.

Anyone have any problems with the DID original on the new precise+ 18650 I can only get mine to work with an adapter which is a tad annoying. It seems like the center post is not long enough for the new precise+. Anyone have any tips for fixing this if i push the brass center post down so it sticks slightly below the DID's bottom connector this works for about half an hour. Then I have to take the DID off and push the center post down again.

Anyone know if I would enjoy better luck with the new stainless steel center posts? Or anyone know how to make the did brass center post lock in a lower position?

Bloody ugly with the adapter on it lol.

Some folks put the small o-ring on the center post at the bottom and assemble as usual,I cut a very thin piece of silicon tube(RC car fuel line)instead of the o-ring.it will extend the post from the connector a little.

the o-ring worked great. Can't believe I walked around with a wobbly adapter for 3 days and did not think of that lol

I found the same solution a while ago, then after a few days, the o ring compressed and I lost contact again. I went to my local hardware store and bought the smallest fiber washer i could find. It still needed to be trimmed a bit, but it worked great and won't compress like an O ring will. Just FYI...

Thanks for the tip I may do just that :)
