Congrats bud! Generally, it's about 3, maybe 4 weeks to be in your hands.

Thanks Yankee :D I am really eager to try this out. Gives me plenty of time though to find a decent butane torch for preparing those SS wicks, heck I might even be able to try to find some SS Mesh and make up some wicks in advance of it getting here LOL

Oiy very excited about this one;

the walls of the wick are way too thick to fit anything inside of it. i can barely fit a small paperclip down the middle of it
The idea is that nothing DOES fit inside the wick. That's what's being discussed and that's what I'm attempting to do but I can't give tips on this method as I haven't gotten mine going yet.

I think you'll love it Nate. I usually get my mesh from the mesh company in UK. Seems the cheapest and at your house in about 7-10 days
Torch is a chefs torch. :D

I know I love the way it looks on the Provari and since I have a Satin Silver Provari Mini it should look completely Epic on it :D Now to just wait and see how it tastes :D That is so very important to me. So a Chef's Torch, I think I can get one at Walmart, if not I know they have some Pen Style Torches as well so maybe I can use one of those, I know I can't really use a butane torch lighter because I saw the video with someone using one of those and that did not look fun at all LOL too glitchy :D

Any recommendations on a Particular Model?

Sincerely;
Nate aka Darth Vapor the TOTAL Noob to Mesh Wicks LOL

Pen torch is fine too. It'll torch with less blast but accomplish the job. Mine was from amazon. Brand bonjour.
Flavor rocks. Travel slightly more challenging. I kind of have a variety of RBs for different reasons. :D

LOL Coolness, yeah I can imagine traveling with a butane torch would be a bit difficult. The "King" and "Queen" will always travel with me, but I am thinking if I can make up in advance several perfect wicks to go with me then it would be very easy to travel without the torch :D

Now it seems logical to me, although this may not be the case, that the longer you use an SS Mesh Wick, the More oxidized it should become from the juice. Now wouldn't this kind of make it a progressively better performance loop up to a point??

Or maybe I am just nuking this to the umpteenth degree LOL

I received my satin mini DID and engraved topcap on Friday! I love the new topcap. Very sharp. The mini DID is fantastic as well.
HOWEVER, it is SO tough to navigate the mini DID with man hands! Does anyone have a suggestion for what kind of screwdriver to use on the screws? They look like they would require a jeweler's tool or something of the like. After futzing with it long for close to 3 hours, I did manage to get a suitable wick and coil going. The flavor is nowhere near what I am achieving on my reg DID but I hope with time the wick will season and improve the flavor.
As for the form factor, it's lovely and looks great on the P+18650 and on the epipe.
Cheers to your fine craftsmanship Jim!

The screwdriver in the cheap eyeglass repair kits work well. Can usually buy for a couple of dollars.

Get yourself a small set. $10 for a quality Stanley set at Home Depot. It'll come with 3 reg smalls and 3 Phillip smalls. Smallest I use to even pick at the coils when needed.

QUOTE=P3ST1L3NC3;7490446]built a new coil, and using your method listed above worked great. coil heats evenly with no shorts. actually my best looking coil so far, and i must have made 50 of em over the last 2 days. now the flavor.... im getting decent vapor, but the flavor isnt there. the wick looks wet-ish, but not soaked looking.[/QUOTE]

The Provari is not really tolerant to shorts with this style of atomizer, if you have some old ego batteries or a all mechanical mod it may work out better for you to test fire your coil. I use my old LT for this because it doesn't have all the fancy protection that a Provari does and I can increase the voltage and get my coil glowing white hot. This also helps with the coil break-in process so that when you do start vaping on a full tank you get full flavor and vapor. Another tip is after you have your coil glowing right put a few drops of the intended liquid you are going to vape on the wick and test fire until it is dry. This helps to season your wick an coil further and also help to ensure your coil heats up correctly with juice in the tank. This will give you a more uniform vaporization of your liquid and clouds more vapor/flavor and if you choose throat hit.

Glad to hear that the main issue is better.

Tip the DID over wick side down and let one drop come out the wick itself since your using an open hole. Almost like priming it so to speak. The wicking process should start just fine. Keep in mind that a few vapes of breaking in will enhance and get better as you go. Some break in fast, others even hours. Depending on their taste buds and juices. So this may impact your flavor.

As you break in your coil, increase the power and some vapor, flavor, and TH will dial in very nicely.

As for more on flavor, because its so subjective, I haven't had many flavor issues (except for one that I just can't vape in a DID), so maybe others can chime in as they come across here. Breaking in the coils helps.

great tip if your wick hole is open you can also stick something down there and pull it out. It creates a vacuum that pulls the juice up. I like filling my DID through the wick, it helps with the wicking and keeps my fill screw right at the perfect level.

I have NEVER left the filler screw out. My DID's travel with me to work every day. Three sit in my pocket on Various mods and the other 4 are I this cutesy case on their side. I have no wicking problems and never have a leak. I use a solid wick just slightly smaller than the wick hole. I used my high dollar hybrids at home because they leak like crazy and don't travel well.
Hey Unspokenzero, I didn't get that...
I dream to be able to leave that screw on... just can't seem to be able to...

My all day vape used to be RY4 by Janty....I can't vape it in any genesis. I love the fruits so I run 7 different juices at a time. Most are DIY these days. It also typically have 1 desert juice and a tank of pluid on the go as well.
The flavor for me that I can't do in the DID is butterscotch... anyone else?
