Oh they suck. And being that small, you just remove the cap and fire it and don't see it if you look quickly. You almost have to look closer and rotate your mod to spot it. Usually it's small and faint. Not bright. And you'd never think something that small could crap on the taste so bad.

Oh I know and it tastes almost worse than a visible short does. It is just a whole new world of nasty. Man I have absolutely no complaints right now. I have three perfectly made wicks and coils running on 3 different and awesome DID's with three different amazing juices in them and of course my "Other Two" awesome RBT's as well. I am just happier than a clam in sand :D The only thing that will make this even better is when I can get two more mods because right now my Provari feels like a cheap ...... being shared by three DID's LOL

Me too, but that was when I only had one, The Provari, that was my very first MOD. At the time I also had two ego batteries and a few Go Go batteries. Now I have Two DID's and a Phoenix Knock Off sitting in that holder base I made yesterday being rotated on my Provari. I need a couple more Mods to house these babies :D

Oh my, the memories of those days of only having to choose which battery and carto to go with. Hunting down adapters to try different cartos or atty's on different batteries. Man I have so much stuff built up it isn't even funny. I do not miss them though. To me this is much much easier because now I know what I like and I know how to make it happen :D

Well, I did a dumb thing today trying to clear a hotspot while out on break. Had no tools with me, so I figured I'd fire up the coil to see where the issue was, and then quickly give it a nudge with my fingernail and see if that solved it.

Turns out, fingernails can burn. I put a nice little indentation in my nail and smelled like burning hair until I could wash my hands.

Also, I'd vaped the darn thing dry. Guess I forgot to make sure the tank was full before I stepped out this morning.

Unless I fill before leaving for the day, I bring a bottle with me.
And yes. Nails do burn. Ask me how I know. :)
I'd hate to say some of the dumb things I've done. The good news, you also learn to improvise better "in the field". I have paper clips, scissors, small screwdrivers, tweezers, etc at work. I don't worry TOO much. Of course, I'm different as I'm a systems administrator with access to the techs tools. :)

Ouch, that's where the clear tanks really make a difference. With the SS tank only indicator is taste. Funny thing, the rate of juice use seems to be different for every set up. I've had some that seem to stretch a tank all day and others that seem empty in a few hours. I love how the SS tanks look but love being able to see my juice through the clear more.

I hate micro shorts worse than almost anything. They taste horrible, and can be a real pain to get rid off as well. I can't run the clear tank on my DID for various reasons, but luckily it is very forgiving when it starts to run dry, it will gently warn you, unlike some other devices. Love my DID's.

Also, Tonytiger tobacco is outstanding with a good Bourbon, yummy!

I have a 20 mil bottle with a small tip. Fits in the fill hole. My chick is my caddy when we are together. I make her hold all my stuff. :).

I also have a cheap manicure set I gutted. Put vape stuff in.

Put some wire in the pv under the spring. Good for one coil.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I think the problem with the other coil was that the top two coils were getting hotter than the other coils. Not so much a hot spot but when I set that coil up all of the coils would glow but the top couple were hotter. I made another coiled out of the 30ga with a 4/3 wrap and the coils are glowing more evenly than the last one.

So far I have had a few OMFG hits. I need to get the proper draw down so I can get it consistent. I am not used to the open draw and I am not sure if the hole in the capital was enlarged by the previous owner. I can't wait for my Gemini to get here. Should be any day now.

2.2 ohms is a bit high for a 3/4 wrap with 30awg. That is my preferred wrap and on the fattest wick I get 1.6 ohms. On my slightly thinner wick I get 1.3 ish ohms. Mat need to tinker a tiny bit more....lift the wick slightly from the bottom of the tank. Make sure it is not touching the center post or that it is not higher than the center post. I can get 2.2 ohms with a 4/3 wrap of 32awg.
I forgot to mention the 4/3 30ga wrap it has now comes in at 2.2 ohm and I have been vaping it at 5.0 volts.

I just did another coil because I ran out of the Prime15 I had in the tank and don't have anymore to refill it. That coil was doing pretty good. The new coil I just did is a 3/2 wrap of 32ga which is ohms at 1.3. I think this one might be the best one yet in regards to smooth vapor. I put Tribeca in there now and also have Tribeca in a vivi for comparison.

Going to give the new wick and coil time to season but it is looking very positive. I think the next thing I need to work on is experimenting with wicks. I have more mesh coming from the mesh company which should be here in another couple of days. I only have 400 mesh right now but the strips are not long enough to make a real tight rolled wick with a center hole. The last wick I made is rolled pretty tight around a large paper clip for a center hole and fit into the wick hole on the DID fairly easy.

I have noticed out of the last couple of coils that even if I get all the coils glowing fairly evenly the top coil is usually the brightest one no matter how much I move them around.

I will say though that I am enjoying the DID and will be ordering a couple more in the near future since I tend to like having a rotation of juices. I guess I better start buying a couple more mods as well to put them on.

Here is a shot of the coil I last posted about. Been vaping it around 4.2. I am really digging it and should just keep getting better with more experience. I took the pic with my phone and it didn't turn out the greatest. Will have to whip out the real camera at some point.
