Is that the standard DID or mini on top? I am hoping the DID and POLDIAC are the same diameter :)

That may be a D16 (from Temon) in the picture. Standard DIDs are 20mm (D20) and the Poldiac is 22.6. Jim has talked about doing a D22 early next year (after the holiday dust settles)

Right on I just measured, my DID and P+ I am so spoiled by the smooth transition ;) d20 = tank of velvet holding and is 20mm (realization settles in)
On a side note the POLDIAC will be perfect for an ody while I wait on the D22 smoothness to be forged in the new year!

I wonders if the POLDIAC warrants a new thread? (Wanders off looking if it exists already...)

It's a D16. It's Jim's favorite of all his attys, and I 100% understand why! There's just something about the volume of the vapor chamber that potentiates the flow dynamics unlike anything else I've ever tried!

I know there are lot's collectors here. I don't consider myself as one. Personally, I'm reaching the end of my quest for new hardware. I have 4 D20s, and the necessary parts to convert them all to shorts and clear tanks both sizes. Add to that 2 mini Dids, and 4 attys from other makers. I don't know if it's a shortcoming, but I can honestly testify that unlike the others I possess, the DIDs are indeed built for life and I don't see myself purchasing anything else in a foreseeable future. Although I did purchase yesterday another 200 euro in parts only to make this collection more veratile.

All this to say, apart from being remarkable and a beautiful piece, The Poldiac was unfortunately not made to fit the D20, but a D22 (roughly.. since the Poldiac's OD is 22.6 if I understood) that has yet to be produced and that I have no need for. The Temon (battery holder) is not made to match the mini DID; I would most certainly have overlooked the millimeter gap and bought a couple if the option existed. But again it is sold with an atty I have no use for. The P+ is a perfect fit for the D20 satin... It was not in the realm of the impossible to expect a MOD that size. By the end of January, I'll have quite a few carvellas that are not a bad match either. Mini-Cubes for the mini-DIDs...

And yet, as someone that have really invested in the DID line, I can't help but feel disappointed that the marketing strategy here isn't one of "continuation".

I know very well that exposing these types of concerns in this forum is prone to fury and indignation...(a small attempt at reverse psychology :) )
But as far as I'm concerned and given the quality of production of MMVapors, I would be a serious customer for anything that would really "finish" what has been started. Unfortunately, I just cannot really afford to be a collector and as beautiful as it may be, I wouldn't go for mod that is not specifically made for the DID. As for the Temon battery holder, I would buy it right away if it was for sale.
I only speak for myself, but I'm convinced it wouldn't be a waste of time for MMVapors to check if these 'wishes' had any market resonance...

I would hope you don't think us so intellectually challenged that a customer of this wonderful maker would risk "fury and indignation" for merely expressing an opinion on the direction of production. I personally agree that the p+ is a marvelous match up for the original DID, and in my opinion the mini-did. I use an 18350 for my mini and an 18500 for the original. I also have an original Uranus mod for when I need 18650 power. However, the Poldiac is very high on my wish list, just cause. Anyway, I think you will have a positive reaction from the community, when you elegantly express an opinion as you have done. Cheers

I just have one Did. So I would consider you a collector. Opinions are fine.
I'm not a super user like others but I give you my take on it.

In the beginning mmv just made a Did. I believe he sized it for the provari. It was a great hit and since Jim is responsive to his customers. He started offering other options as requested. We nagged him to make a battery holder. Thinking like you I believe he made the temon with matching d16. Others including myself wanted a 18650 mod. And I think that is the rub. The batteries sizes restrict the design. Just a guess but if Jim could of fit a 18650 in a 20mm of tube he would of. Maybe the hy-did option will smooth out the transition. I agree with you but IMO I understand the challenges he faces. At least I believe that that's what they are. I may be totally wrong.
What am I missing about the temon battery holder?I see it for sale.

Tony
