While on the subject of tanks, so far I have destroyed two x pyrex without even having a vape:?: 1st one I dropped 2nd I put DID back together filled it, and went to bed next morning noticed large pool of liquid and a large chunk of glass, I am sure I must have been a bit heavy handed screwing things down. Now I have new glass again and too chicken to use them. anyone else had this problem?

I have been lucky with the tank on my Ihy.
But, I've gotten to the point where I like cheap tubing better than glass.

  1. Poldiac native DID bases (maybe a new BTO configuration affectionately called the Hy-DID?)
  2. A Poldiac sized DID (D22 - 22.6mm?)
  3. More options for Poldiac (brass accents?, brass tubes/clothes?, optional engravings?)
  4. Evolv-DNA-D20 native Poldiac VV/VW module?
  5. A 26xxx battery mod?
I don't know about #4, but the other things on your list all sound like very real possibilities ;)
A few other things that might be coming out in the near future are hybrid bases for the Mini DID and D16 for use with the Temon, a totally updated DID (get excited for this one! Think cutting edge ;)), a hybrid base for the D20/Poldiac that includes an integrated tank cover and possibly even an increased tank capacity, and maybe even some engraved drip tips!

Here's something to tide us over while we wait for the new gear from Jim! i just ordered 4 6" pieces of the airstones, so I'll update everyone with how they're working out as soon as I can!

Here is where you can order them for yourself: http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2752197
You might also be able to get them at local pet stores/aquarium supply shops. I'm so excited to try this out that I'm gna go shop around for them locally tomorrow! I'm too impatient to wait for them to ship...

I saw that scuba dude was talking about it:)
It would be nice having a wick that could sit on the bottom of the tank and not having to worry about hot spots

Yea, I've been following Dan's thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modding-forum/362182-next-big-thing-porous-ceramic-wicks.html I think (after having been sucked into the failed glass tubing vortex) I'm going to wait till the production version is released.

But you can make wonderful Christmas-ornaments in the tree from the tubes!!

Had the idea of using perforated stone months ago
I can find it here in all gradations in the river. Volcanic stone
But I couldn't find anything on the possible healthrisk of using volcanic stone..
It sure resists the heat, though :)

I called my local Petco and I can confirm that most of their locations stock the airstones, but not the exact brand that Dan suggests. I'm going to head there now and checkout what they've got, and I'll report back with my findings as soon as I get home :)

Yeah, the glass tubing kinda fell short of my expectations, but I think this is going to be great. After I lock down my airstone-wick shaping technique, you'll be getting a nice little care package from me :)
I have that same thought, I keep an eye on it, but am not experimenting myself just yet.
You will also be getting a care package from me! It'll have a few other goodies in it though ;)

BTW I have your photo for my sig just need a good MMV logo to put with it. Then I got to learn how to attach a link to my sig lol
Here ya go! photo.jpglogo_mail.jpg
And to upload a photo to your sig, make a flickr account, upload the images there, and then copy/past the BBCode into the signature box in your ECF account settings!

Do you realy know what saved the world?

There was a French village, Bugarach, where the aliens would come out of the mountains to destroy the world.
Only Bugarach was going to be saved...
The village was isolated by 100 policeman because they were worried thousands of people would come over.

So on the 21st, the aliens peeked over the mountain and saw 150 villagers, 100 policeman and over 250 reporters and decided:
THAT is NOT the ideal population to start an new world and they withdraw...'later' they must have thought.
So there is a chance your new hobby will only be temporary;)

I must say the Temon is just small enough, tucked away in the front pocket. I never wanted drag out my huge Pv's out on the town.
So I always grabbed the E-go c. That has changed :)

We made a stop to visit a friend last night before hitting the club after, He's laid up pretty bad from smoking and it really surprised him as well as others that I quit more then a year ago, and What's this thing they call a electronic cigarette?....Wow he says every time - "I wished I would of had that 10 or more years ago".

Nothing like having more options, styles for everyone, It sure helps me keep my mind off a pack of Marlboro Reds, 33 plus years of them came to stop last year....

And what's coming next, Was surfing some of the older post and things sure look promising?
