Wanting to order my Poldiac (what is Poldiac, anyway?), have a couple questions:

1) vaping difference between Gemini and DID ?

Poldiac was a very close friend of Jim's who unfortunately passed away this past year. Jim named the PV in his memory.

Gemini uses the D14 (Mini) top cap, DID uses D20. I find the D14 top cap to be a little more TH and a little more "crisp" flavor, D20 a little "smoother" (both vape great)

2) the only way to get the DID in satin right now is with a 1mm airhole. Will it be easy enough to bore this out if I don't like the draw?

Yes, very easy to drill the hole bigger. I open all mine to 1/16 (~1.6mm) with a $3 drill bit from Home Depot. Good idea to try it stick first, lot's of folks really like it the way it is.

3) I'm ordering insulation spacers extra, brass shirt and pant, o-ring set for the DID. The replacement guts for the DID are pricy: should I order them? Is there a reason to have replacement guts? How many replacement sets of o-rings should I order?

This is a judgement call, replacement parts are worth their weight in gold if you need them ;). I have replacements for everything but only thing I've ever had to replace was 1 o-ring (I ripped the old one when removing), a center post (still worked but got slightly bent when dropped hard on its nose). There's been a few folks that have snapped there positive poles by over tightening the base nut in the top cap. These things are built really tough...

4) If there's a discount code, could someone PM me with it ? I signed up for the newsletter, but haven't gotten set up yet.

Someone else may be able to jump in here, I haven't seen a news letter since before the holidays.

5) Body TUbe: does it show through the slots? I ordered it polished hoping it shows through.(I'm ordering satin finish on pants & shirt)

Yes, I have a polished button & housing with Satin slotted shirt and it looks cool

Hope nobody throws stones but looking at the cleanliness of the Poldiac and its lines, is there a way to do away with the knurling on the atty.....I would be fine with a one piece design created specifically created for the Poldiac to match the cleanliness and lines. I completely understand the thought of just being about to purchase a few bits to get a nice fitting DID to mount on the Poldiac but the knurling would IMO still detract from the beauty the Poldiac offers. I would be all in for an MMV atty cleanly designed in one piece to mate up with the Poldiac and still offer the great vapor and taste the DID I own delivers.

Stands in corner and waits for the stoning.

Wow! This has got dspin written all over it. He's gonna freak when he sees this one. :p

Jim, You've turned PV's into functional works of art far beyond anything that is out there. This one reminds me of some type of rare gem stones. VERY nice!

LOL, everyone's allowed an opinion. IMHO comments and requests help Jim perfect the product. I do seem to remember (can't find it now) someone had posted a picture os a DID that they had filed down the knurling on the top and bottom caps and it looked pretty cool. I personally like the way it looks and think it makes it much easier during setup. I have some other RBAs that are all smooth and I have to use rubber bands to get a good enough grip to open/close them.

Yes the knurling is necessary on the multi piece attys but if the atty was one piece, then there would be no need. It could still have replaceable isolaters, center post, tank....well everything but instead of a three piece atty assembly it could be a one piece.

Ducking......lmao

I am going to start a thread called "The White Glove Vapers". I will no longer pick up my polished brass Cara.... without a microfiber. When I get the Poldiac brass body it will be the same way. Then the Brass shirts and pants, again white glove vaping.

Miriam,

I am sorry, given these new developments I can no longer join you for the mid level spirits. I will now only consume top shelf liquors with my nose held high.

It was fun while it lasted. Don't worry, you will find someone else. It's not you, it's me,

Sincerely,

Ken

Darn!

*sneaks down to the garage and gets her wooden cases of 40 and 80 year old Vintage Port out, then sighs in relief... I can finally drink them without Ken stealing them*

As far as I know, what you want is coming.
So get out of the corner, all Jim (and you) need is some time :vapor:

THANK YOU BRIGIT
THANK YOU
I need time to be ready for you!
I am ready in my mind !!
I hear you but let me take a breath!! lol
If I tell you what things will come LATER your mind will not handle it!
It would be very eassy for me to make a new model and forget the DIDers!
NO WAY my friends!!!
ALL my spears will be compatible and we will have soon the bigest collection to cover everyone !!!!
SO
first the update for the DID to fit perfect to POLDIAC
the POLDID
and finaly the HyDID with new design top cap!
this is for the next 2 months!
So let see more important things and be better tomorrow!
What do you see with Poldiac?
Hitting?
Battery?
How often you clean the contacts and how?
The magnets ...I have to say you a trick that makes sooo easy to put the magnet correctly!
We have one magnet on the plastic of the button and one in the plastic barrel
when we want to put back the magnet in the barrel ,we just throw the magnet in and with our buton in the hand we put it back of the poldiac on the shirt and that makes the magnet in the barrel to take the correct polarity!
please someone that got it what I mean, help here to explain better

I think what he's saying is that when you put the button in the delrin housing he uses a seperate 3rd magnet on the opposite side of the button housing so that the the one on the outside and one on the inside are drawn toward each other making it easier to put in the switch with the magnet on it in without flipping the magnet in the delrin housing over. But I may be way off.
