New GG Owner with Questions

I just got a (new to me) GG Transformer/AFS V2 I have ordered Extra springs for the Transformer and O rings for the AFSv2. And think I can find the thread lube at the hardware store.

One big question. The previous owner was running some tobacco flavor in the AFS and now it tastes like tobacco what is the best method of cleaning the AFS to get the old taste out.

Soak it in Alcohol MXBNW should do the job PGA will work as well

Thanks I was thinking about that but did not wont to do it in tell I heard from someone. So is it safe to soake all the parts of the AFS. - the O Rings

This system is so increasable I do not won’t to damage it in any way.

I would remove the O Rings, give them a cleaning and lube with a lite coat of Vaseline and reinstall after the unit is cleaned and dried off. If it smells really bad let the tank and all metal parts sit in the PGA overnight, you could also let it sit in some crest healthpro mouthwash for a bit as well just to get that tobacco stench out of it

Thanks again, I will disassemble it tonight. I got the tank full some juice I like to see it I can pull some of it out. But will give the thing a good cleaning and soaking.

I don’t have any PGA on hand but do have crest healthpro mouthwash.

If you have rubbing Alcohol use that, try the Crest it should take that smell out of it then soak in the rubbing Alc

the O rings have been removed and its soaking in rubbing Alcohol now I will take it out in about a hr clean it up and see how it is. Then may soak it in some crest. Rinse and repeat. LOL just won’t it clean. I don’t like tobacco Juice at all.

75% of taste is smell.

I was using a new Atty, but did give the new Atty a bath as well but the AFS smelled like strong tobacco it’s much better now.

I will reassemble the unit latter on tonight and give it a shot.

I just checked it and I don’t smell any tobacco so all should be good. Ill post back tonight to let the thread now the results.

You can try a bath with vinegar+water for some minutes ... It works for me
