LIL, Welcome I just recieved my 901 yesterday and am trying to acclimate myself as well. I have found the ritual of smoking is not being satisfied straight out of the box. I am not sure how many drags to take at a sitting etc.... I know that the people on this site have been extremely helpful and insightful so hopefully all these minor issues will work themselves out, and if you would like, I would love to be your e-cig analog killing buddy ;)

If it helps at all, I've found that treating a vape as a smoke - i.e., setting four minutes aside to vape as a "session", as you would with a cigarette - doesn't work. We're habituated to doing that by the disposable nature of cigarettes and the fact that they burn down. Vapes last as long as the electronics etc. hold out (already well over two months, in my case) and lend themselves to a different style of use.

Hi Lil, great name by the way!
Ive just got an Evo and i'm still getting used to it. I am still on the analogs but managing to smoke only about 4 a day as opposed to the 20 i was smoking. I would suggest cutting down the analogs but don't feel you have to give them up completely while you get used to vaping. From what ive heard on here you will get to a point where you don't want them at all, but till then i wouldn't worry if you still have the odd one.

Hi, thanks so much for the welcome :)
Just to let those of you from US or elsewhere outside of the UK
We sometimes call cigarettes (Fags) & there's a saying in UK if your a female smoker, you can be labelled a '... ash lil'
I know ... does have another meaning as well!!

Re: The MILANO e ciggarette i have bought, i researched online (uk) & the Milano seemed to come out tops in the best to try.
I will give it a go & see what happens, i am not going to put too much pressure on myself, if i can cut down real ciggs at first i'll be happy.

Thanks for the advice, all greatly appreciated,

& Glad you like the name 'monkeyuk'! :)

Hi Milano!
I have told husband not to touch it while its charging!!
or he would have fiddled with it by now!
As its currently charging at the moment, & takes at least 5 hours,
I'm also waiting on some refills to arrive, wouldn't want to run out as soon as i started!
So me & him have said we'll go for it sunday, no work, no hassles, so hopefully = SUCCESS!

I hope it works out for you both!! :)

If it doesn't turn out to be what you expected, or that model doesn't last-- don't give up! There's literally 100s of ways to configure (mod) your E-cig and different brands/models to choose from. Having had not heard anything about the Milano (albeit I'm reading mostly US-related posts), I wouldn't want to see someone go back to analogs from an e-cig!

Good idea on getting the refills! I aimed to supply myself for a month before I made my purchase. Can't wait for my stuff to get here!

I've noticed that most on here seem to be using a liquid to refill, that doesn't seem to be so readily available in uk, so i went for the cartridges option.
Thanks again for the advice. :)

Hi ya, I tried to figure out what kind of e-cig the Milano is but no luck Someone will figure it out.

I did read some of the adds though. They claim anywhere from 1-2 packs a cartridge when it will really be maybe 1-2 cigarettes a cartridge. The reason I even bring it up is when you do start you will think you are doing something wrong or the e-cig is broken. Then you spend the next couple of days trying to figure out what's wrong. Just thought I'd try to save you the potential aggravation.

How do I know this you ask? Um well, that was me.:D

Yes, people are refilling their cartridges with liquids. Some are just "dripping" which means basically liquid straight on the atomizer and not on a cartridge.

Electronic Cigarette e-liquid / Totally Wicked e-Liquid / electronic cigarette eliquid nicotine fluid products

There's a UK store that sells plenty of stuff. Obviously I have no opinion of them other than their website cartoons look pretty cool. But I've read some good things here and there.

E-cigs (to reiterate my last post) are kinda like cars. Some don't have enough power. Some don't have a good warranty. Some don't last very long. Some don't get great gas mileage.. Some are tried & true, others are flashy like a Maserati or an Aston Martin (some cost as much, too!! lol) Some you can never find parts for, some you can find everywhere.. etc etc.

That sounds to me like the best analogy ive heard so far on this forum!

Thanks guys, really useful advice.

Well 1 is fully charged,( glowing end when i draw) other doesn't seem to be, (hope i haven't got a dodgy one :(
(I have 2, one for me other for husband)
but for the life of me, i can't work out how to put the cartdridge in! it can't be that hard, i must be missing something obvious, have unscrewed the end, but there doesn't seem to be anywhere to screw/put the cartridge in. Completely baffled. The instructions are useless!
Anyone use a cartridge? maybe can advise me how to put the darn thing in!
Thanks
