He looks very much like my tank. He socializes when he wants....but mostly with the dogs  He much prefers the doggies over any human

I don't know if it's all female cats, but I like females bc they seem to be more sociable. Seems to apply to dogs, too.

That's funny...my experience has been the complete opposite  I prefer the male dogs and cats.....and most of mine are male. I am VERY outnumbered in this house

Maybe it relates to the owners... me and female animals... you and male animals. Maybe?

ETA:
Just noticed your outnumbered statement. IDK then.

Maybe...I dunno. Females that we've had, tend to gravitate to one person in the household....of course, I have a couple of males like that too...but I think that is more in their breed than a male/female thing. My cat growing up was female, and my mom called her "miss touch me not" cause she was 100% my cat. She liked no one else  But almost all our males have been cuddlebugs.

Born and Raised in a suburb of N.O.
Moved after Katrina took all of our worldly possessions.

Sorry you lost so much in Katrina. I lived in NOLA for 25 years. Moved there when I was 13 yo. I left in '93... it was a good time to get out. Been in Alexandria ever since.

Everyone who was near and dear to me, and still in the NOLA area, or on the coast, made it though withoutut a scratch. My son had a small tree branch through his roof, but that was the worst of it for everyone I knew. My daughter was an EMT in NOLA then. My Ex still is.

I think this one is just old enough to be pregnant. Her little belly is quite firm, and her little nipples stick out a little.

Someone said the belly might be some kind of worms, so we're going to the Vet on Monday. She's just too sweet to let anything happen to her. I just took a break to play with her.

When I brought her home, well inside, she was afraid of everything, and disoriented, but she warmed up to me that night, last night. She's in the bathroom to adjust, but she plays with me when I go in, and she Purrrrrrrrrrrrrs, and is very playful.

I'll work on a name for her.

We found out Chicken was pregnant when we took her in to be checked out and spayed. (I went in with orders that if the kittens showed on xray - 1 month or so - they were kittens. Otherwise the wife was ok with "there weren't kittens".. but the vet went bustling past to the ultrasound to see cuz there was a void where there might be kittens.)

For the record, nothing is more fun than 7 kittens wrestling on you :)

At about the 33 minute mark all the kittens show up with mom.

ETA: I'm 6'4, so not short legs. Just a huge cat :) And Fat Boys Crab Shack is a couple miles from the house. One of our favorite bars (epic orange crushes, great crabs, etc)

My daughter live in Winnfield for a while. She's near Abbyville (spelling) now.

Abbeville is a nice little town. Is she on the outskirts of Abbeville or in a neighboring town? It's only about 30mi away from me. I have a friend that lives in Erath, and we'll meet-up for lunch in Abbeville every so often.

Good suggestion!!! A 1-month mark. I like that!!!

I saved a full litter of kittens one time, so yes, I know about having that many to play with. We found homes for every one of them.

I have to take baby to the Vet for several reasons... she has something of a sneeze, too. But she's already a lot of fun, and she isn't even fully used to me yet.

Couldn't watch the Video w/o a login.
