Maybe...I dunno. Females that we've had, tend to gravitate to one person in the household....of course, I have a couple of males like that too...but I think that is more in their breed than a male/female thing. My cat growing up was female, and my mom called her "miss touch me not" cause she was 100% my cat. She liked no one elseBut almost all our males have been cuddlebugs.
We've got one cat that loves me most, but shares w/ my wife. Pete is "Lily's cat", but he prefers the wife & I. Cookie & Chubby love us all equally. Rosita is Sydney's cat. She tolerates my wife & Lily, but generally avoids me. Don't know why, I've never been anything but sweet to her.
All the dogs love me more. I'm the alpha of the pack.
That is the trick with cats, too. My wife is head cat, so her cat (Buster) is in charge. He chose Scrambled as the prince, and now Scrambled is making a play to be boss. Suddenly all the cats are kissing up to me instead since that makes me 'head cat'All the dogs love me more. I'm the alpha of the pack.

My little baby is still playful like that.
I still need to find a place that won't wig-out about vaping. I've been 'gently' turned down by a couple of casual places already.

Scrambled still goes in boxes. He doesn't do much, but he does it vigorously. He goes in boxes, he sleeps on me, he bites his sister and he eats Buster's food (Buster is on UT food.)

I knew dogs played those games, but didn't know cats did it too. But I never had more than two (or anything) at one time. We had two cats and two dogs at the same time, but not more than two otherwise.

I did have a 75 gallon fish tank, and had several clown loaches... does that count?
We found out Chicken was pregnant when we took her in to be checked out and spayed. (I went in with orders that if the kittens showed on xray - 1 month or so - they were kittens. Otherwise the wife was ok with "there weren't kittens".. but the vet went bustling past to the ultrasound to see cuz there was a void where there might be kittens.)
For the record, nothing is more fun than 7 kittens wrestling on you
At about the 33 minute mark all the kittens show up with mom.
ETA: I'm 6'4, so not short legs. Just a huge cat

My latest 2 are total terrors...anything and EVERYTHING that is not tied down is their play thing....everything, that is EXCEPT the cat toys

But they are such wonderful, amazing little animals, and pets.
