Don't have any kanthan yet... Was thinking 34 gage for my first... Why 30?

The resistance per inch is Lower than 32 or 34. And the Wire diameter is larger. The longer coil spreads out the Heat, and the larger Diameter makes for better contact with the Wick, making for a much better vape.

I'm using Lifepo4 battery's because its what I have... They don't push high amps? Which is why I was thinking 34. Max amps when fully charged is 800mah, stacked can push 1600 but that's still not as much as one 18650 AW IMR which averages 2200mah of power. I'm in a co-op for a eFast Digital charger with USB out and 5 battery's (2*18650, 18500, and 2*18650) then I will get lower gage... Found some 270mesh (don't know if I can list the web site because its not this forum) that I want to use for my extra thick DIY 100VG that I'm 3 months into its steeping... Then it will be filtered to 80microns...

That thread isn't really about High Amps, or High Watts, but how Kanthal works.

1.8Ω is 1.8Ω, no matter which wire you use. But the 30 AWG will give you the longer Coil to Spread Out the Heat, and Better Contact with your Wick. Look again at the Thread Title. It says...

"It's all about Wire Temp."

34 AWG will heat up even faster than 32, which will make your Vape very Hot and Harsh. 32 AWG comes in almost anything you buy that's pre-wrapped, so you can see how long that Coil is. A 34 AWG Coil will be even Shorter, because the Ohms per Inch is Higher, meaning you cannot use as much wire to get to 1.8Ω. So it will Glow Red faster. Again, 1.8Ω is 1.8Ω.

Then see post #118 . . .

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modding-forum/330407-500-ss-mesh-201.html#post7203039

BJ43 now rolls his 500 SS Mesh with No Center Hole, in a densely packed wick, but really just finger tight. The Solid SS Mesh Wick has even Better Capillary Action, without the Spitting that some folks think is a Good Thing.

He also found that 600 and 635 SS Mesh is even better than 500 for a Wick longer than 2", but that it isn't worth the extra $$$ for 2" or less.

I'm just telling what my Research has taught me, and giving you the links to it.

I use solid #500 wicks in all my gennys (except the Chids). I get no-tilt vaping pleasure out of all of them no matter the juice (60/40, 50/50, 40/60 & 100% VG).

I'm still here....waiting to see ya turn PURPLE :D

lol well when they used to do the parties in pvt it would be at midnight, and I thought central time, but don't know if they tweaked em to turn then, cuz it's apparently not midnight central time now, cuz that was 30 minutes ago.

Thanks for adding a confirmation, Count. :) I forgot to mention No-Tilt Vaping.

I've told other people about BJ43's Threads, and they all say the same thing (those who actually tried it). Much Better, No-Tilt Vaping, Hit's like a Steam Train Locomotive, etc.

Not all the parties were at midnight....they were originally scheduled to go off at the exact time that the person joined....but if the person turning requested a different time on that date, they changed it to accommodate what was best for them. Turtle's turning was in the middle of the day, if I remember right ;)

Oh ok. I had that backwards then. I thought the ones that were earlier were for day folks that requested them to be earlier in the day. That's what I get for thinkin........never was much good at it! hehehe No idea what time it was, could be wee hours or mighta been shortly before midnight. <<shakes 8 ball to see if it knows>> lol
