heh little spike is doing well. we had to put the tank in the basement the crickets chirping at night was driving my wife crazy. we gave him bigger ones once and i dont think he was eating them cuz they lasted a lot longer than the little ones. and chirped louder too lol. its a bit cooler down there so i thought i might get a tank warmer pad or some such but the lady at the pet place in town said he would be fine with the just basking lamp we already have. siad if he got cold he would just sit under the lamp more and that sounds ok to me i guess since he came from outside and it gets way colder out there then it ever will in my basement...
i think he likes the worms better but no way to know for sure. i try to give him crickets like once a week but we dont always manage cuz half the time the place closes early before we get there.
and i keep finding all the crickets drowned in the water bowl - any ideas how to prevent this? since he is a pet now we kinda want to spoil him and i dont like the idea of him getting too hungry... ive also taken to keeping a little bowl in there with several worms in it rather than dropping in a couple now and then. i would drop them next to him and he would eat 2 or once in a while 3 but that made me think he was hungry a lot so with some in a bowl he can get them whenever he wants

As for some quick things not covered:
Don't leave live crickets in the tank 'un attended' (over night), when you pet is sleeping, they will try to eat him
Buy crickets in bulk (I don't know what size your pet is, but 1/2 inch crickets are not old enough to make noise) I buy smaller crickets and feed more so I don't have to hear them.
House crickets in another container, there is a special jell water for them, so they don't drown (don't use that jell water in lizards tank)
I feed crickets to my lizards in a large bin (I'd find at target or Walmart) (I house them in another bin like that)
Give your lizard 15-30 minutes to eat as much as he wants, put him back in tank, but crickets back in there house if any left.
Super (meal) worms are better then normal meal worms because they have less of an exoskeleton, making it easier to digest
Ummm that should do, any questions feel free to PM me
