Welcome to ECF, and I hope your wife enjoys whatever you decide to go with!
I don't want to confuse the issue with more hardware choices, but I just wanted to touch on the "software" or e-liquids a bit.
You should let your wife know that there is no such thing as a true "smoking-a-cigarette" flavor. It is impossible AFAIK to duplicate the flavor you get when smoking a burning tube of paper filled with burning leaves laced with 4000+ chemicals through a filter.
There are lots of vendors with tobacco flavors, and the best description I've seen thus far is the closest you can get is the smell of an unlit cigarette, like when you take it out of the pack and smell the tobacco inside the tube.
There are variations of tobacco flavors, and menthols are the easiest, due to the power of the menthol though, and many are quite good, IMHO, and I started on these, but have moved on to yummy baked goods and candy and fruit flavors!
The commonality with all of these that most search for is the TH, or "throat hit". Higher PG content and/or higher nicotine levels give a harsher throat hit, higher VG levels give higher vapor.
I started at 24mg nic and a higher PG ratio, but after just 6 weeks, have gone down to about 10-12 mg nic and a lower PG ratio. I enjoy the flavors and vapor more than throat hit or nicotine feeling. It's amazing how what I thought was important isn't.
Also, many of us have stated that the dirty ashtray cigarette flavor we thought we would miss is not missed at all, it turns out.
Taste is subjective and everyone has a preference, and tastes change. I think this is why there are SO many vendors from which to choose for quality "juice". It can get confusing
and it can be intimidating or overwhelming as well
. Just be patient and understand there is a learning curve to both using the hardware, and finding the juice(s) that are just right.
Oh - and make sure she starts drinking lots of water. I also started using Blistex a lot more.
I currently enjoy kickbassvapors, vapealicious and deejstuff for my juices. These and many more can be found in the Suppliers area of the forum. The ones registered here are of higher trust, IMHO, than others found outside of the forum.
There are lots of decisions and things to consider here. In the long run though, your bank account & health will thank you.
Good luck, and here's to happy vaping!!
