New guy here, lookin to start my vaping journey!

Hey everyone! New guy here from CA and im lookin to get an e-cig soon and start vaping! I am wanting to quit smokin regular cigs. I smoke half a pack to a pack a day depending on whats goin on. I am lookin to stop soon because the wife and I are tryin to have a lil one and I think an e-cig will help me with that!

Ive done a BUNCH of reading about e-cigs and im actually lookin at the Joye 510 kit. Is this a good kit? Will I need to order anything extra when I do end up ordering? The kit im lookin at comes with two e-cigs, case, wall charger, usb charger, car charger, etc.

Please point me in the right direction with what I need to get!

The Joye 510 is an excellent choice, and the only thing I would recommend getting in addition to it is some e-juice (or e-liquid) in a couple of different flavors so that if you don't like how the default cartridges taste, you can still enjoy the 510, and possibly find a flavor you love.

The 510 kit is an excellent start and, considering you're in California, if you're looking for some GREAT tasting liquids, take a look at Tasty Vapor. Everything on the site is pretty much exactly as advertised!

Thanks for the reply. I told my wife that I would quit smoking cigs when we have a lil one and now that we are tryin why wait until we actually have one right?!? HAHA

I agree with Little Girl. Good choice on the kit. And yes order extra juice.

Also, you may want to look for 510 cartomizers to try while your at it. They usually come in a pack of 5, you can refill these. They are the one piece atty and cart in one, hence the name carto not cart. This way you will have the 2 batteries , atomizer (atty) and cart in the starter kit. You will also be able to try cartomizers (cartos) as well. The carto's for a 510 usually come empty so you put your own juice in there.
Sometimes new people get frustrated with atty and regular carts (in starter kits) when starting out. So it might be nice to have both options when you get your kit. But then you will be back here learning how to fill em ;-)
There is much to read here and everyone is very helpful. No doubt any questions you have will be answered quickly.

They seem to have the best prices on the 510.
In fact that's all they sell. And I recommend the eGo as it basically a 510 with a huge battery

I ordered my joye 510 from cignot.com good prices and excellent customer service. Cartomizers are great too. they turn the 510 into a 2 piece setup from a 3 piece set up. I love the juices I get from vaporbomb.com. I like the 20%vg/80%pg mix best for flavor and vapor. My want to consider a pcc for on the go.A passthrough for when near a usb port, but most don't recommend using the computer usb but use an ac adapter. they do have usb car adapters too that will work with the passthrough. But most don't, just so you know.

Congrats on your decision to quit before the little one shows. Never heard of Nicotine Nirvana so I really can't comment. You may want to check the vendors on the forum, at bottom of the page. Many good ones there. Of course, myself and many others highly recommend the ladies at Cignot.com. They have excellent prices and service, and are legendary for their fast shipping.

Cignot sells eGo too. Double kit is at a good price. When you go there, click "e-cig kits" at left, then go to bottom of next page that shows and click the eGo kit there. VIOLA!

18mg is probably a good start. There are many good juice places. Being that you don't know what you like, It might not be a bad idea to get 5ml or less of each flavor until you find out what you like. Like I said before I love vaporbomb. many like tastyvapors but you can't get a small bottle. you also only want to pay about $0.50 per ml.

I smoke between a half pack-pack a day. Ill try some different liquids to see what I like. Is there a liquid thats close to camel lights? LOL

Honestly, there is no juice that tastes exactly like the tobacco you are using, or anyone elses either that I know of. Just go over to Tasty Vapor.com and get some yummy juice that you think you might like and save yourself the trouble (and money)of looking for tobacco flavors to match yours.
You may be surprised at what will do it for you, it tastes a whole lot better then any tobacco anyways!

I believe that Joye makes the Janty product. Joye is a manufacturer and you will see their product offered at many locations.

I started my husband with 18mg even though he was a heavy smoker. For him it wasn't the level of nicotine as much as the inhalation/oral fixation. He's down to about 8mg and doesn't even seem to notice the difference. I mix our juice as needed and it's VG for high vapor.

As for flavors, we mostly use the coffee flavor I get from Juicy Liquid. Never really bothered with a tobacco flavor, although I do like the RY4 on occasion. There are so many flavors out there. Maybe find a juice starter pack with a few real small bottles. Nothing worse than trying a flavor, finding out you hate it and having a huge bottle of it left.

Remember there is a learning curve to vaping. Maybe consider a disposable to see if you can make the adjustment. If that goes well, I would go straight to one of the battery mods. It's so much easier to charge batteries once a day or once every two days.
