That's very good advice. It sounds like you know your stuff!
Only problem is, without going into TOO much detail, anti-depressants are a HUGE no-no in my house, so it's not an option. I know, it sounds dumb, but smoking 3 packs a day would be more readily accepted here than AD's, ESPECIALLY after the Effexor debacle. Its a spouse thing...
So I gotta make due with my dear, sweet nic.

I had quit smoking just over a year before I began vaping, but during that time I started using Mint Skoal (long cut). That stuff will tear up your gums in just a couple of weeks so I switched to the pouchs. The are less messy and much more convienient. There are 15 pouchs in a can and after a month or so I was down to 5 or less a day, so buy the time I started to vape it was no problem to make the conversion. What I would do is buy a can of SKOAL pouchs (Skoals much better than Camel SNUS) and only use them when absolutely nessesary. I've been I sales before so I know that if you don't smell like smoke your sales could potentially go up, but you don't wanna get caught dipping either. With a little practice you should be fine, besides, you really only need to keep it in for 15 or 20 minutes for the nicotine to hit your blood stream.

Is that like Kodiak where you have to keep spitting the juice in a bottle every few minutes?

Hey Retail, sorry to hear it wasn't as magical as you may have expected, but then again.. the supplies and modfications and vendors and models of these cigs vary widely!

I just came up with this analogy the other day but.. it fits e-cigs well:

E-cigs are kinda like cars. Some don't have enough power. Some don't have a good warranty. Some don't last very long. Some don't get great gas mileage.. Some are tried & true, others are flashy like a Maserati or an Aston Martin (some cost as much, too!! lol) Some you can never find parts for, some you can find everywhere.. etc etc. Some run hot, some run cold. Some smoke a lot, some smoke a little, some don't smoke at all. Some prefer biodiesel (VG), some prefer regular gas (PG). Some are better modified, others run great from the factory.... and it goes on and on.

that being said.... if at first you don't succeed.. try, try again! :)

No it's spit-less apparently.

Not everybody quits the first day. Many still have a smoke or 5. Sometimes it's not just the level of nic.

Here is a real short thread about a guy having problems. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/nicotine/64501-if-first-you-dont-succeed.html

It might give you some insight about what others are dealing with. The sub forum it's in has a lot of info. You might be one of the lucky ones that only needs a higher level of nicotine, seems most are. In the mean time light one if you have to.

Retailer I too have the blu cig. I just got some Newpure from Halo today and also some Ecopure menthol from cignot. Both are very nice. I dripped right on the atty and used the empty cart. Working good so far. I did order a 510 also that I got today and WOW nice PV. I will still be using my blu too since I am figuring out how to work it better.

Yeah its like Kodiak but with the pouches offered by Kodiak and Skoal you don't have to spit nowhere as much as with the long cut. You could go for like 15 or 20 minutes before you have to spit but if you don't let your siliva come in contact with the pouch you can swallow what little tobacco juice gets in your mouth. If you don't swallow to much it won't make you feel sick.

Retail, I can tell that you probably will be one of the guys that'd benefit from snus. There was no way I was going to take a pill to get my mojo back... Snus worked just fine.

There is NO SPITTING with snus! Small pouches that are undetectible... gives you that confidence and "Ahhhh" back that you'll find is missing from when you smoked. I'm vaping AND using 3 to 5 snus mini portions a day.
You can find more info. get answers to your questions and get lots of help from the "guys" who are using snus here Smokeless tobacco - E-Cigarette Forum

Lots of threads on various products (snus, snuff, disolvable tablets, etc.) in that forum, and a group of snus users here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...whats-under-your-lip-your-nose-right-now.html.

Post in the thread above if you decide it might be somthing you are interested in and need some help.

Can you let me know how the product you get from Halo turn out. I just stumbled upon their web site the other day but couldn't order because they weren't officially opened. I must say that they have a very nice looking and its very well put together. I hope to be on their level in a few months.

I'm still a noob but I think you'll do a lot better with a higher nic juice, 7mg seems mighty low. I've smoked near a pack a day for 8 years and I started with the 24mg and never looked back. Don't even have cravings for analogs, though I have had a few, almost at 3 weeks since I smoked the last of the last pack I bought. Sometimes the 24mg juice is a little strong and gets me a bit light headed, but it definitely takes care of cravings. Even gives me that "ahhhhhh" feeling after a big meal and other normal smoking periods.

Hang in there friend, your nearing relief and a healthier lifestyle.

Let me chime in and recommend snus (or any other smokeless tobacco, if snus is not your thing) as well. Snus itself has a proven safety record, and while not all of the others do, each one of them is better than analogs. (To be precise, each one is better than any incompletely burned plant material that is inhaled.)

I find the idea of telling people to use ADs to quit smoking in this forum is a bad joke. Exactly how many here have tried that and failed? Lots.
ADs can be life safers. (They can also be killers, and not just Chantix.) I've taken them myself and I might take them again. But not to stop smoking. And that's not even discussing their side effects.

Upping the nic level is also a mixed advise: Worth a try, certainly. Many think now that they stopped smoking analogs, they have to do it all at once. Or they got bad advise. Too little nic means craving for analogs, most of the time. However, that does not mean that craving for analogs necessarily means too little nic. It does not. And a nicotine overdose is also not exactly pleasant, either.
BTW, too much nic does help at first, no doubt. The same way it helps when you are hungry: You don't feel that hungry any more, but that does not mean that your body is actually getting the food it needs.

Nevertheless, check your nic level, and check your hardware, too. Many, for example, don't manage with super-minis (no idea what the blu is), because they just don't produce enough vapour and throat hit.

Regarding snus (and other smokeless), check those threads for a start, but if you read through the forum you will find a lot more discussions of same question: To snus or not to snus and Is vaping all you need? and check out the smokeless forum.
